The site chosen for this project is a 4600 square foot piece of land at the corner of Broad Street and Martin Luther King Jr. Drive. Since the empty lot is located between two existing buildings, the general approach was to design a structure that has the characteristics of an infill project. Research done during the 1st half of the semseter on Opulence dictated an architecture focused on the interior. The nature of experiences with opulent structures of the highest order requires one to be fully immersed in a space in order for the effect to be viable. Therefore, the compact, infill site allows the architecture to turn itself inwards and focus on interior details: corners, transitions, niches, thresholds,etc. Community members will enter the building frontally from Broad Street and thus his/her primary experiences will take place within the the building.

A script was developed here that allowed us to take the rules we found in the Henderson image and recreate them on a blank canvas. As each curve approaches each other, the center curve deflects to accommodate the new geometry
