DEMON SPORTS NETWORK Shreveport-Bossier affiliate KEEL 710 AM will be carrying all Demon football games in 2012, while Natchitoches radio station 100.7 KZBL will continue to be the flagship for all the Demons and Lady Demon Sports. Baldridge-Dumas Communications operates 100.7 KZBL. The Demon Sports Network features Patrick Netherton as the play-by-play announcer. Tony Taglavore will provide insightful commentary. Broadcasts can also be heard by linking to “www.nsudemons.com” on the internet. Coach Thomas hosts the “Demon Huddle” talk show on 100.7 KZBL each Thursday night from 6-7 at Cane River Grill in Natchitoches.

Credentials are necessary for admittance to the Turpin Stadium press box and field house. Credentials also grant the bearer a meal in the press box, served well before kickoff. All requests for credentials (press or sideline) should be made to SID Doug Ireland, by fax (318-357-4515) or e-mail (ireland@ nsula.edu). Credentials will be mailed if time permits. If not, credentials will be available in the Sports Information office on Fridays before home games and at the Will Call window in the southwest corner of Turpin Stadium’s press box side on game day. Photo deck space is limited. Northwestern’s game taping crew has priority on the sixth level deck. There are two film decks on the fifth level, available on a first-come first-serve basis. Access to the top of the press box is available. There is usually space in the stands immediately below the press box. In the event of a televised game, the originating TV crew has priority. Sideline passes are available on a limited basis. Use is restricted to outside the team areas on each sideline. Sideline credentials are good for press box admittance. Parking passes are available on a limited basis. Press parking is between the track and fieldhouse at the south-

west end (on the pressbox side) of the stadium. Again, make requests by email prior to game day. Press box services include the pregame meal served an hour before kickoff. Soft drinks and snacks are available throughout the game. Internet access is available by ethernet or wireless. Four telephones are available on press row on a first-come, first-serve basis. If you will need to be near a phone in order to file, be sure to note that in your credential request. Hostesses will distribute quarterly, halftime and final statistics along with play by play sheets. A pregame packet with a program, flip card, fact sheets, and updated notes will be available in the press area. To ensure equal access for all media, the Demon locker room will be closed. Postgame interviews with NSU players and coaches for home games are conducted in the Stroud Room of the NSU Athletic Fieldhouse adjacent to the Clayton Plaza approximately 15 minutes after play ends. The Turpin Stadium elevator will be reserved for media use with 4 minutes left to play. Selected players and head coach Jay Thomas will be available in the postgame press conference. Thomas and players will also be interviewed on the Demon Sports Network and that can be heard in the Turpin Stadium press box. For all games, if deadlines require, brief on-field interviews can be accomplished through requests prior to the end of the game to SID Doug Ireland. During the week... Player interviews must be set up through SID Doug Ireland at least one day in advance to minimize demands on the student-athlete’s busy schedule. Brief face-to-face post-practice interviews may be conducted if time permits. Interviews with Coach Thomas or any assistant coach can be arranged by calling football secretary Elizabeth Holloway at (318) 357-5252. A weekly luncheon is held on Wednesdays at noon in the Stroud Room of the NSU Athletic Fieldhouse. This is the optimal time to access Coach Thomas and players.
