2017 - The Year of Endless Possibilities lend support for the Museum of Arts and Sciences. Throughout the year the events could not be presented without our tireless and supportive members. Remember that Fall brings the Halifax Art Festival and The Festival of Trees to life too. It indeed takes a village! My sincere thanks go out to all of you, our dedicated Guild members. This is the year of endless possibilities.

o we are off to an exciting New Year, packed full of great events and programs. This year we will also be electing a new Guild executive board in March, followed by the induction of officers at our May general meeting. On Monday February 13th, we will have our annual Fashion Show Luncheon, “Love is in the Air” which is chaired by Joan Horneff, with her fantastic committee. This event will take place at the Brown Museum of Art beginning at 11 am. Get your reservation in early by contacting Jennie Palmer. I look forward to seeing our group of models, showcasing great Chico’s fashions. The next major event is the 7th annual Children’s Museum Golf

Classic being held on April 3rd at the Plantation Bay Golf and Country Club. This is always a fun event, whether you play a round or just come for the luncheon and silent auction. Don’t forget to purchase and wear your “Caddie” ribbons - a simple way to support this event. Mike Armstrong, Chair, can answer any questions. Finally, on April 11th get ready for the 4th annual Garden Party and Luncheon being held at the Brown Museum of Art in the courtyard beginning at 11 am. Reservations are a must- this event is always sold out. Chair Marilynn Sternberg and her committee offer beautiful plants and herbs along with handpainted flower pots for purchase. “It’s getting to be time for the last big fundraiser of the year - the Children’s Museum Golf Classic. This year our tournament will be held on April 3rd at the Plantation Bay Golf Club. This is our last chance to build a big contribution for the Museum and to help the Charles and Linda Williams Children’s Museum. Volunteer for the Golf committee. Our next meeting is on January 26th and we’ll probably have three more planning meetings after that. -Speak to your friends who are golfers and encourage them to come out and play. It’s a first class tournament played on one of the best private courses in the area. -Speak to businesses you use to encourage them to become sponsors. For as little as $100, their business can have on course signage.

Are you d r iv ing fo r t he a rts ? Purchase a Florida Arts License Plate and support the arts in your county.

-Become a Caddie. We’ll be selling this year’s Caddie Badges at the January, February and March General Meetings for $20 each. In the past 6 years, the Caddies have raised almost $7,000. -Join us for a good time at the Awards luncheon on April 3rd. There are a lot of ways to help and no limit to how much you might do. If you’d like to join the committee, contact Mike Armstrong at 203 414 2379 or PitneyB@aol.com.”
