w A pizza party, cookies and drinks for students with excellent behavior. w Pizza party for National Teacher’s Day. w Dandee Jumpers and bottled water for Field Day. w Ice cream for a good behavior party. w Awards for five teachers selected by the principal. w Sun visors and sunglasses for all students at the end-of-the-year party.

About 50 or more JEA employees also participate in the Lunch Buddy Program that is coordinated by Chrissy Vandiver, Benefits Coordinator. Employees eat lunch with students and provide good role models. Janet said she gives a “huge thank you” to Tommy Bowman. “I reach out to him quite often to pick up items for our PIE Partner, and he takes them right to the school.” She added, “I consider it a privilege and an honor to work for an organization like Jackson Energy Authority … a company that demonstrates giving back to the community.”
