Tennessee Valley Training Center (TVTC) Mission: Tennessee Valley Training Center, Inc. (TVTC) is a full service, non‐profit, safety‐training facility. TVTC offers a comprehensive program of safety and health training such as: industrial and construction safety and health training, site specific orientations, OSHA Compliance training courses, hands‐on training, Identification and background investigations, drug and alcohol screening, and respirator fit testing. TVTC has served Alabama and Tennessee for over 8 years. We conduct some of the most popular safety training, & specialty classes, that impact our perspective industries, on a daily basis. They include, but are not limited to: OSHA 30 Hour, OSHA 10 Hour, Confined Space Entry, Lock‐out/ Tag‐out, First Aid/CPR/AED Training, Fall Protection, Fundamentals of Rigging, and Excavation and Trenching are just a few. Who Qualifies for these Services or Funds?: TVTC can develop and administer the orientation. Companies can register their employees through our web page. The cost of the orientation varies by company.

Basic Orientation Plus (BOP): This is a half‐day program (approximately five hours). High quality instructors guide trainees through a video based, interactive instructional units. Professionally produced video modules outline units, which are carefully reviewed using computer based slides. All students test in our multimedia lab. The test is a Fifty (50) question comprehensive written test. The questions cover all material presented. Tests are graded and reviewed. A minimum score of eighty (80) is required. o

Who Qualifies for these Services or Funds? Anyone working for a contracting company working in the petro‐chemical industry. Most industrial plants in the Tennessee Valley require anyone working within their facility to have completed the BOP/BOPR. TVTC also administers the site‐specific orientation for each industrial site. To register for these classes, go to www.tvtc.org and follow the registration instruction. All students are given a Fifty (50) question comprehensive written test. The questions cover all material presented. Tests are graded and reviewed. A minimum score of eighty (80) is required.

Background Checks and Drug Screening : TVTC offers background checks and drug screening services to area contractors and businesses. • Who Qualifies for these Services or Funds?: Most Plants require a Social Security Verification, Background Screen and/or Drug Screen prior to anyone entering their facility.
