Cent‘anni fa la Grande Guerra. L‘evento che ha forse sancito il cambiamento definitivo di questo continente. Il Trentino ha subito il destino di tante altre terre di confine nella storia: quello di trasformarsi in terra contesa e in campo di battaglia. Ancor oggi quella memoria è perfettamente visibile: fortificazioni, trinceramenti, musei. Quegli eventi hanno lasciato segni materiali ma anche animi e una cultura che hanno scelto di impegnarsi nella ricerca, nella pace, nella solidarietà, nel dialogo tra i popoli. È il caso di Rovereto che come Città della Pace ha fatto proprio il messaggio della Grande Campana dei Caduti e che ospita il Museo storico italiano della guerra, uno dei più importanti in assoluto; e di Trento che accoglie monumenti della Grande Guerra e memorie dal forte significato simbolico come la Fossa dei Martiri al Castello del Buonconsiglio e Forte Cadine. Rappresentano pienamente lo spirito di un intero territorio. Per tale ragione in questo 2014 torna Sentiero di Pace per portare in tutta Europa riflessioni, approfondimenti, parole e musica, eventi live, veicolandoli nell‘etere grazie alla collaborazione con Radio 2 e Radio 3 RAI, con Rai5 per il concerto a Trento del 28 giugno e con l‘EBU (European Broadcasting Union) che riunisce le emittenti nazionali del continente.

DER FRIEDENSWEG Vor hundert Jahren gab es den Großen Krieg. Ein Geschehnis, das wahrscheinlich zur definitiven Änderung dieses Kontinents geführt hat. Das Trentino hat das gleiche Schicksal erfahren wie schon viele andere Grenzgebiete im Laufe der Geschichte, die zu umstrittenen Gebieten und Schlachtfeldern wurden. Hier sind die Zeichen jener Zeit noch deutlich zu sehen: Forts, Verschanzungen, Museen. Diese Ereignisse haben materielle Zeichen hinterlassen, aber auch Gemüter und eine Kultur, die beschlossen haben, sich für die Forschung, den Frieden, die Solidarität und den Dialog unter den Völkern einzusetzen. Betroffen ist die Stadt Rovereto, die als Stadt des Friedens die Botschaft der Grande Campana dei Caduti übernommen hat und das Museo storico italiano della guerra aufnimmt, eines der wichtigsten überhaupt; oder Trient, wo Denkmäler des Großen Krieges stehen und Denkwürdigkeiten von stark symbolischer Bedeutung wie die Fossa dei Martiri an der Castello del Buonconsiglio und das Forte Cadine. Sie vertreten in vollem Umfang die Einstellung eines ganzen Territoriums. Aus diesem Grund kehrt in diesem Jahr 2014 der Friedensweg wieder und bringt Überlegungen, Vertiefungen, Worte und Musik und Live-Events nach ganz Europa, die dank der Zusammenarbeit mit den italienischen Rundfunksendern Radio 2 und Radio 3 RAI, RAI5 für das Konzert am 28. Juni in Trento und mit EBU (European Broadcasting Union), die die nationalen Sender des Kontinents zusammenfasst, per Funk übertragen werden.

One hundred years ago, the Great War: the event that perhaps determined the definitive change of this continent. Trentino suffered the fate of many other borderlands in history by becoming a disputed land and a battle ground. The memory of this is still perfectly visible today in the land’s fortifications, trenches and museums. These events have left material marks, but also many souls and a culture that have chosen to commit themselves to research, peace, solidarity and dialogue among peoples. This is the case of Rovereto that, in its role as City of Peace, has made the message of the Grande Campana dei Caduti its own and that hosts the Museo storico italiano della Guerra one of the most important of its kind worldwide. There is also Trento with its Great War monuments and highly symbolical mementoes, such as the Fossa dei Martiri at the Castello del Buonconsiglio and Forte Cadine, for example. All these artefacts fully represent the spirit of a whole region. This is why the Path of Peace returns in 2014 in order to disseminate in the whole of Europe, “on the air”, thoughts, insights, words, music and live events thanks to the involvement of Radio 2 and Radio 3 RAI, of RAI5 for the concert on June 28 in Trento and of the EBU (European Broadcasting Union) that associates the continent’s national broadcasting stations.
