We hope that you and your family have a wonderful Christmas time remembering the birth of our Saviour, Jesus Christ. Lauren and I wanted to take this time to express how thankful we are for your prayers and support this past year. We are so blessed to have you in our lives! We would not be able to pursue tribal missions without your prayers, encouragement, love, and support. This past year we have seen God at work! He is faithful in building His Church in places where Christ has never been known! In 2011, New Tribes Mission has reached a new people group with the gospel of Jesus Christ every forty-five days!

Our classes began on August 29, 2011. We are constantly being challenged and are learning so much about how to plant a church cross-culturally.

During our time in Texas, FBC Grandview and City Church decided to support us and send us to be equipped at the Missionary Training Centre of Canada. In May of 2011, Mark moved to Durham, ON and worked for the summer while Lauren visited her family in California.
Please pray for us as we prepare to be servants of God’s Church overseas, and that we will have a learner’s heart. Also for wisdom in researching and choosing a future field of ministry. We have two semesters and Jungle Camp yet to come before we graduate in December of 2012.
YOUTH
Since the summer we have been involved as youth leaders at the Durham Baptist Church. We have thoroughly enjoyed building relationships with the youth, most of them come from unchurched homes, and sharing with them who God is and what Christ has done for them. Mark has been coteaching a chronological Bible study, while Lauren has been discipling many of the girls. Please be praying for wisdom for us as it is very challenging, and that the Holy Spirit will prepare their hearts to understand the gospel!
