CAREER DESCRIPTION A career in business offers an array of opportunities. Whether you decide to start your own business or join an established one, your educational background should encompass a working knowledge of the various areas of business. You should also have a solid understanding of how each of the areas interact with one another.
HOW TO GET STARTED GateWay Community College offers an Associate in General Business Degree that will provide you with a broad understanding of business. When you graduate from our program you will be prepared for an entry-level position. Additionally, our degree will provide you with the fundamental knowledge and courses you need to further your education at a university. GateWay also offers an Associate in Business (ABUS) Degree, which transfers to the state universities without loss of credit. This option is recommended for those wishing to start their own business. In addition, GateWay offers a Certificate of Completion in Organizational Leadership and an Associate in Applied
Science Degree in Organizational Management. Unique to both of these programs is the freedom to customize your courses to correspond with your career needs. Customized specialty areas include accounting, business, computers, management, materials management and office automation systems. Many courses will transfer to a university where you can earn a bachelor's degree in a specific area of business.
