Inspired Experience

As a student at Marian, you’ll bring knowledge to life in ways most can barely imagine. We call it applied liberal arts… which means you’ll take the theoretical foundation of what you learn in the classroom—from your studies of the humanities, business, science, and the arts—and find meaningful, innovative ways to use that knowledge to solve problems and impact lives. It might be in a lab. Or an elementary school. A health clinic. A local business. Or in service to a community half a world away. Wherever it is, and whatever you find yourself doing, the common thread is that it’s a way of learning that will distinguish you throughout your career after you graduate.

“Marian is known for helping students get started on their careers; for me, that was a big part of why I chose Marian. I’ve wanted to go into law enforcement since my freshman year of high school. And Marian has helped me capitalize on my strengths and brought out the best in me. My professors come in with their own experiences they’ve had on the job, and talk us through handling situations that they know we’ll encounter during our internships and after graduation. So the preparation I’m getting is really outstanding.” Jackie Ciocchetti, Criminal Justice Highwood, Illinois
