Beginning Photography Class

Learn to understand the camera and how it works, how to determine the best type of camera for different outcomes, tips on composition, image printing options, and a variety of other topics will be covered. Experience is not required. Bring your digital camera and materials to class.

Genealogy First Steps

Explore this interactive, hands-on course that will allow you to employ your own research, while exploring sources and techniques that will open new vistas into the lives of your ancestors. Learn the most efficient methods of uncovering your family’s history and equip yourself to conduct an organized, enjoyable family search. Learn how/where to find and access facts about your ancestors and how to record the information.

Lunch and Learn +

An informative monthly session that is free and open to all. Each session we present a different speaker that provides a lively presentation on a topic of interest. Bring your lunch and join the conversation. Coffee will be available. Participants must pre-register.

Piano/Keyboard Lessons

We should never stop learning! This saying is true all throughout every phase of life. If you’re interested in learning something new, how about trying our piano/keyboard lessons. Our experienced instructor will teach you how to play and read designed for the piano/keyboard. Participants must Pre-register.

Beginning Drawing with Mr. Todd

Drawing uses the very simplest tools and is the most basic of the art forms, yet it can also be the most intimidating. Students will improve both drawing and observation skills by learning about the fundamentals of line, shape, value, perspective and proportion. This is a fun, lowpressure, relaxing class, no experience, or drawing ability is required!

Cherry Blossom Festival is the largest celebration of its kind attracting visitors from all over the world. Celebrating Patsy Cline - May 7th - $119. The day will be spent in Winchester celebrating one of the greatest music icons of all-time, Patsy Cline! You will stop by the Museum of the Shenandoah Valley to see an exhibit dedicated to Patsy’s childhood years. Then you will have lunch at “Granny’s Restaurant” Then we’ll cap off the afternoon by visiting The Patsy Cline Historic House, and then a drive out to Shenandoah Memorial Park – where you will learn about her untimely death and see the bell tower that stands in her loving memory. Rails and Rhythms – Autumn Sounds of the West Virginia Mountains - October 13th -Oct 15th. This is the most excitement you can have in three days! Climb deep into our uninhabited mountains on two Wild and Wonderful Train Rides, then come back to earth (or Elkins rather) and enjoy two music shows that rival anything in Branson or Pigeon Forge. All during the peak of Autumn!!!

Senior Citizen Volunteers

Volunteers are an essential part of Manassas Park programs and activities. Help is needed in various capacities: from working in the computer lab, monitoring Kids Korner, to party and activity organizers, to strategic planners, board members and advocates. Seniors Advisory Committee

The Senior Advisory Committee will meet the 4th Wednesday of each month at 12:30 pm at the Manassas Park Community Center. The public is welcome to attend and make comments and suggestions. 3/26, 4/23, 5/28, 6/25, 7/23, 8/27
