Milette Riis

Milette Riis is currently studying for a Master's in vocal performance at the Royal Academy of Music under the tutelage of Alex Ashworth, following a PhD in maths from the University of Leeds. Her operatic experience includes Lola in Cavalleria Rusticana, Sally in A Hand of Bridge, and Sorceress in Dido and Aeneas, and she has performed in scenes from Madama Butterfly, The Women of Whitechapel, and Sir John in Love, among others. Recent engagements include recitals at Wakefield Cathedral and Wolfson College, Oxford. Mezzo-soprano Fee £250

EDUCATIONAL WORK Milette has directed both the auditioned Chamber Choir and the unauditioned Symphonic Choir at the University of Leeds, and has taken part in educational workshops and section leading with NYCGB. She has also covered lectures on the undergraduate course ‘Maths and Music’ at the University of Leeds.
