In 2014, BMC IRONMAN 70.3 Switzerland celebrates its 8th anniversary and, since its inception, this race has become one of the most popular IRONMAN 70.3 races in the world. In 2014, as part of this race – whether as an individual athlete, on a team, as an IRONKID or as a spectator – each of you is going to feel the spirit of IRONMAN. We would like to thank the city of Rapperswil-Jona for hosting us and giving us the opportunity to bring an IRONMAN 70.3 race to Switzerland. WELCOME Liebe Athletinnen und Athleten Herzlich Willkommen in Rapperswil-Jona. Es freut uns sehr, euch auch in diesem Jahr in der Rosenstadt begrüssen zu dürfen. Der BMC IRONMAN 70.3 Switzerland 2013 war für uns alle ein unvergessliches Rennen, leider jedoch im negativen Sinne. Die Absage der Schwimmdisziplin, die Kürzung der Laufstrecke und schliesslich der Abbruch des Rennens aufgrund eines Erdrutsches auf der Radstrecke war für uns alle eine riesige Enttäuschung. Umso grösser ist nun die Vorfreude auf den bevorstehenden WettNico Aeschimann kampf. Nur allzu gerne rücken wir die vielen Renndirektor positiven Aspekte des Rennens wieder in den Vordergrund: Die Schwimmstrecke im klaren Wasser des Obersees, ein abwechslungsreicher Radkurs durch die malerischen Dörfer und entlang der saftigen Weiden der Voralpen und eine atemberaubende Laufstrecke durch die geschichtsträchtige Altstadt von Rapperswil-Jona. Die kurzen Distanzen zwischen Schwimmstart, Wechselzone, Ziel und Eventgelände machen den BMC IRONMAN 70.3 Switzerland in Rapperswil-Jona zu einem einzigartigen Rennen auf der europäischen IRONMAN-Tour.

Herzlich willkommen in Rapperswil-Jona Wer einen Triathlon durchstehen will, muss einige Voraussetzungen erfüllen: Regelmässiges Training, gute Tagesverfassung, Durchhaltewillen und vieles mehr. Doch selbst wenn die Athletinnen und Athleten alles bestens vorgekehrt haben und mit der richtigen Einstellung an den Start gehen, können sie das Ziel nicht in jedem Fall erreichen. Wenn, wie im letzten Jahr, das Wasser auch im Juni noch unzumutbar kalt ist und zu allem Unglück wegen eines Erdrutsches die Velostrecke unpassierbar wird, nützt jede Vorbereitung nichts. Erich Zoller Stadtpräsident Offensichtlich lassen sich richtige Ironmen und Ironwomen davon aber nicht entmutigen und treten ein Jahr später einfach wieder an. Das verdient nicht nur Respekt, sondern auch Wetter-Glück. Statistisch ist es zwar leider nicht so, dass der Wetter-Würfel diesmal eher auf „ideal“ fällt, weil er 2013 „miserabel“ anzeigte. Würfel hätten eben kein Gedächtnis, erklären die Statistiker dieses für Normalsterbliche unverständliche Phänomen. So schauen wir halt, dass wir vor dem Ironman 70.3 keinem Statistiker mehr über den Weg laufen und orientieren uns an viel erhellenderen Einschätzungen, etwa:“Nach em Räge schiint d‘Sunne.“ Entsprechend zuversichtlich erwarte ich „ideale“ Bedingungen für das Organisationskomitee und die Teilnehmenden. Das wäre allen, die sich seriös auf den Anlass vorbereitet haben, herzlich zu gönnen. Da mein Wunsch im vergangenen Jahr nicht in Erfüllung gegangen ist, wiederhole ich ihn nun noch einmal: Ich wünsche allen Teilnehmerinnen und Teilnehmern am BMC Ironman 70.3 Switzerland viel Freude und das Erreichen der individuellen Ziele.

Die Stadt Rapperswil-Jona ist in diesem Jahr bereits zum achten Mal Austragungsort des BMC IRONMAN 70.3 Switzerland. Dies kommt nicht von ungefähr, denn die Rosenstadt am Zürichsee hat viel zu bieten. Nebst der malerischen Altstadt und dem mittelalterlichen Schloss präsentiert sich Rapperswil-Jona im Frühling in voller Blütenpracht. In den vier Rosengärten und weiteren öffentlichen und privaten Anlagen blühen über 20‘000 Rosenpflanzen. Die Seepromenade und die Fussgängerholzbrücke nach Hurden verleihen der Stadt eine besondere Atmosphäre. Aber nicht nur die historischen Bauten, auch die zahlreichen Events und kulturellen Veranstaltungen prägen das Stadtleben von Rapperswil-Jona.
Um die Stadt kennenzulernen bietet der Verkehrsverein Rapperswil-Jona den Besuchern verschiedene Führungen der Rosenstadt an. Von April bis Oktober verkehren täglich mehrere Schiffe von und nach Rapperswil. Verschiedene Rundfahrten nach Zürich, Schmerikon, zur Halbinsel Au oder auf die Insel Ufenau, können gebucht werden. This year Rapperswil-Jona is the host city of BMC IRONMAN 70.3 Switzerland for the eighth time.
Not only the historical buildings but also the different cultural events characterise the city life of Rapperswil-Jona.
And not without reason, as the city of roses at the Upper Lake Zurich has much to offer. RapperswilJona offers a picturesque old town and a medieval castle. Furthermore this city is well known for a full flora in spring. In the four big gardens of roses and several other public and private parks, more than 20.000 roses are in full bloom at this time of the year. The esplanade and the wooden pedestrian bridge give the city a very special atmosphere.
To discover this beautiful city, the tourist association offers many different guided tours. From April to October, there is the possibility to explore the region by booking a boat trip on the Lake Zurich.

THE HISTORY OF IRONMAN During an awards banquet for the Waikiki Swim Club, John Collins, a Naval Officer stationed in Hawai`i, and his wife Judy, began playing with the idea of combining the three toughest endurance races on the island into one race: the 2.4 mile Waikiki Roughwater Swim, the 112 miles of the Around-O’ahu Bike Race and a 26.2 mile run on the same course as the Honolulu Marathon. They decided to issue a challenge to see who the toughest athletes were: swimmers, bikers, or runners. “The gun will go off about 7 a.m., the clock will keep running and whoever finishes first we’ll call the IRONMAN”, Collins recalled. 1

On February 18, 1978, 15 competitors, including Collins, came to the shores of Waikiki to take on the first-ever IRONMAN challenge. First to cross the finish line was Gordon Haller, a taxi cab driver and fitness enthusiast, who finished in 11 hours, 46 minutes and 58 seconds. In 1980 founders John and Judy Collins give ABC‘s „Wide World of Sports“ permission to film the event, bringing worldwide recognition to IRONMAN. Only two years later college student Julie Moss collapses just yards from the IRONMAN World Championship finish line. She is passed for the title, but does not give up; she crawls to the finish line, unknowingly creating one of the most iconic moments in IRONMAN history. Julie’s courage and determination inspires millions and created the IRONMAN mantra that “ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE”. In 1986, Paula Newby-Fraser of Zimbabwe, won her first IRONMAN Kona, setting a new women’s record of 9:45:14. In 1992, she became the first woman ever to eclipse the nine-hour mark with

In 1996, Lothar Leder from Germany became the first athlete to break the eight-hour barrier with a time of 7:57:02 at IRONMAN Europe. With the recognition of the Physically Challenged Athletes in 1997, Australian John MacLean becomes the first athlete to power a hand cycle bike and wheelchair to an official IRONMAN World Championship finish. In the same year, Jim Ward competes as the first 80-year-old in Kona race history. Today, hundreds of thousands of triathletes from around the world have challenged themselves to prove to friends, loved ones, and even just 4
themselves that „Anything is Possible©“. Kona, Hawai’i is nowadays the most wanted goal for each triathlete. Nearly 2.000 athletes in age from 19 to over 80 years of age and from more than 60 countries get the chance to participate at Kona each year, qualified by having earned a slot being provided at each IRONMAN event around the world. In 2006, the IRONMAN 70.3-Series has been introduced. Until 2010, the IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship took place at Clearwater, Florida before moving to Las Vegas. The first World Champion was Alexander Craig from Australia. From 2014 on, this event is about to travel around the world with changing venues every year. The next IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship will be held in Mont Tremblant, Canada on September 7th, 2014.

Dieses Wochenende sind alle Augen auf Rapperswil-Jona gerichtet. Wenn am Sonntag um 07.55 Uhr der Startschuss zum 8. BMC IRONMAN 70.3 Switzerland fällt, werden fast 3‘000 Athleten aus über 50 Nationen zu ihrem IRONMANAbenteuer aufbrechen.
Rapperswil-Jona will again become the hot spot in the region this weekend. Starting at 07.55 am on Sunday, about 3.000 athletes from more than 50 nations will enter the 8th edition of BMC IRONMAN 70.3 Switzerland.
Die Teilnehmerinnen und Teilnehmer schwimmen 1.9 km im kristallklaren Wasser des Obersees. Danach folgt ein 2 x 45 Kilometer langer Rundkurs auf dem Rad, welcher die Athleten entlang des Seeufers und der saftigen Weiden und malerischen Dörfer der Voralpen führt. Die 2 x 10.55 Kilometer lange Laufstrecke führt durch die geschichtsträchtige Altstadt von Rapperswil und endet schliesslich im Lido Rapperswil zwischen Knies Kinderzoo und dem Eishockeystadion. Auch in diesem Jahr werden über 30‘000 Zuschauer für eine tolle Stimmung entlang der Strecke sorgen, während dem die Athleten um einen der 30 Startplätze für die IRONMAN 70.3 Weltmeisterschaft vom 7. September in Mont-Tremblant/Kanada kämpfen.
The 1.9 km swim lap will be swum in the crystal clear water of Upper Lake Zurich, followed by a 2 x 45 km bike course along the lake and the scenic villages at the foothills of the alps. The concluding half marathon leads the athletes through the medieval parts of Rapperswil and along the reeds on the lake shore with the finish between Knies Kinderzoo and the ice hockey stadium. More than 30.000 spectators will guarantee an amazing atmosphere, while the athletes will try to grab one of the 30 provided slots available for the IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship which takes place on September 7th in Mont-Tremblant/Canada.

September wird die IRONMAN 70.3 Weltmeisterschaft erstmals außerhalb der Vereinigten Staaten ausgetragen - in Mont-Tremblant/Kanada. Starting in 2014, the IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship begins a global rotation that will take it among different regions on an annual basis. Being this the first year to have the event hosted outside the United States, this year’s IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship will be held in Mont-Tremblant, Quebec, Canada on September 7th. A scenic course is guaranteed: the swim will take place in Tremblant Lake, the bike course will take you through the Laurentian Mountains and the run course will finish in the resort’s pedestrian village. Nature lovers will be amazed by the beauty of this event. Throughout the 2013-2014 season, more than 90.000 athletes will try to qualify and grab one of these desired slots in any of the over 50 IRONMAN 70.3 events celebrated worldwide. Ich stehe dort, wo ich sein will. Der IRONMAN 70.3 Rapperswil ist für uns Schweizer ein wichtiges Rennen. Doch ich habe immer auch den 27.Juli (IRONMAN Zürich) im Hinterkopf.
Jahres in Los Cabos hast du auf der Laufstrecke noch einige Plätze eingebüsst. An was hat es gelegen?
JAN VAN BERKEL: Ich kann laufen. Auf 10km ist meine Bestzeit 30‘21‘‘. Jetzt muss ich an mir arbeiten um es auf der langen Distanz umzusetzen. Ein grosser Teil davon wird auch mentale Arbeit sein.
JAN VAN BERKEL:
Gehst du durch diese Negativerfahrungen nun anders an einen Wettkampf heran? Was hast du für Lehren daraus gezogen? JAN VAN BERKEL: Keine Lehren zu ziehen aus diesen Lektionen wäre fatal. Doch ich bin weiterhin bereit, an meine Grenzen zu gehen und den Kollaps zu riskieren. Sorry Mami, du musst dir weiter Sorgen machen:)
Was sind deine Ziele für das Jahr 2014 nach einer eher durchzogenen Saison 2013 und der verpassten Hawaii-Qualifikation?
2014 will ich den IRONMAN Zürich gewinnen. Alles andere ist nebensächlich. JAN VAN BERKEL:

Du bist in der Vergangenheit schon zwei Mal am IRONMAN 70.3 Switzerland gestartet, konntest das Rennen aber noch nie beenden (Aufgabe 2011 und Rennabbruch 2013). Trotzdem zieht es dich auch dieses Jahr wieder zurück an den Obersee. Besteht da inzwischen schon eine Art Hassliebe zwischen dir und der Rosenstadt?
JAN VAN BERKEL: Der Ort Rapperswil gefällt mir sehr gut und ich bin oft dort. Wenn ich Zeit habe, laufe ich über den Holzsteg des St.Jakobswegs und geniesse die sehr spezielle Atmosphäre. Ich kann dort gut Energie tanken und freue mich immer, in einer solchen Umgebung dann auch mal meine Energie rauszulassen!
JAN VAN BERKEL: Normally I am a good runner. On the 10k distance my personal best is 30’21’’. Now I have to work on bringing my pace over the full distance. The major part will be on a psychological nature.
Do you approach now a competition differently after this negative experiences?
Did not learn a lesson from this would be fatal but I am still willing to push myself to the limit and to risk a collapse. Sorry mum, you have to worry any longer in the future ;-)

Die Abfahrten nutzt ihr zur Regeneration, denn die dort eingesetzte Energie braucht man nur, um den Luftwiderstand zu überwinden, ohne grossen Geschwindigkeitsgewinn. Ganz allgemein empfehle ich, das Rennen in vollen Zügen zu geniessen. Es ist die beste Zeit eures Lebens. Dasselbe werde ich mir auch selbst sagen vor dem Start.

I used the winter to prepare myself for a hopefully successful summer. I was in the Swiss Mountains to practice on snow and ice and have been to several short training camps in warmer climes.

am standing where I expected. The race here is very important for me as a Swiss athlete but I also keep the IRONMAN Zurich Switzerland at the back of my mind.

What do you recommend to those athletes who are racing here for their very first time?
What are your goals for this year’s race season (after a moderate 2013 season and the missed Hawaii qualification)?
I want to win the IRONMAN Zurich Switzerland this year. Everything else is a minor point.
JAN VAN BERKEL:
Do not attack the two major climbs on the bike too hard. Use the descents to regenerate and use only a little energy to overcome the air resistance because by using more energy you won’t be much faster. In general I suggest you to enjoy the race because this is the best time of your life. The same I will say to myself before the race.

Früh übt sich. Deshalb laden wir alle sportbegeisterten Kinder und Jugendlichen im Alter von 5 bis 16 Jahren herzlich ein, an diesem IRONKIDS-Event teilzunehmen. Dieser so genannte Aquathlon setzt sich zusammen aus den Disziplinen Schwimmen und Laufen. Je nach Alter sind verschiedene Distanzen zu absolvieren. Der Weg in das Ziel führt alle Teilnehmenden durch den original IRONMAN Zielbogen. Alle Kinder die das Ziel erreichen, erhalten eine coole Finisher-Medaille. Mitnehmen Badehose, wenn nötig «Schwimmflügeli» und Turnschuhe. Die Laufstrecke muss mit bedecktem Oberkörper und mit Schuhen absolviert werden. Kategorien Je nach Alter werden unterschiedliche Distanzen geschwommen und gelaufen. Knaben und Mädchen werden separat gewertet.

Early practice makes perfect. For this reason we invite every sports-loving girls and boys aged 5 16 years to join the IRONKIDS event. This so called Aquathlon consists of the two disciplines swimming and running. The distances are different depending on the age. For each distance, the kids will cross the original IRONMAN finish line. Each finisher will receive a finisher medal. Bring with you Swimming trunks or costumes, “rubber wings” if needed, and sneakers. You need to wear footwear and cover your upper body for the run course.

Die Triathlon Challenge steht auch dieses Jahr ganz oben in der Agenda. Anders als beim IRONMAN kämpft man hier im Team von zwei oder drei Personen. Man gewinnt gemeinsam, verliert aber auch gemeinsam. Im Fokus ist der Teamgedanke. Auf der Originalstrecke des BMC IRONMAN 70.3 Switzerland kann auch dieses Jahr als 3er Team in den Kategorien Herren, Damen und Mixed angetreten werden. Für sportliche Pärchen gibt es die Möglichkeit als Couple (nur mixed!) die 1.9 km Schwimmen, 90.1 km Radfahren und 21.1 km Laufen in Angriff zu nehmen. Mit Ausnahme der Kategorie Couples absolviert jedes Team-Mitglied nur eine Disziplin. Bei den Couples absolviert jedes Team-Mitglied mindestens eine Disziplin. Einzelne Disziplinen (Schwimmen, Radfahren, Laufen) können nicht aufgeteilt werden.

Die Preise müssen an der Siegerehrung durch die Gewinner/innen abgeholt werden. Es werden keine Preise nachgesandt. Die Finisher-Shirts werden im Zielbereich abgegeben. On the official course of the BMC IRONMAN 70.3 in Rapperswil-Jona, there is the possibility to compete in teams of three persons in different categories such as Men, Women and Mixed or as a Couple (mixed only!) against other teams from the same category on the 1.9 km swim course, 90.1 km bike course and the concluding half-marathon.
Prizes / Trophies / Finisher Shirts The Awards Banquet will take place Sunday, June 1st 2014 at approximately 05.45 p.m. in the ice hockey stadium. The fastest three teams within each category (women/men/mixed/couples) will receive great prize giveaways. The prizes need to be picked up by the winners during the awards ceremony. No prizes will be mailed to your house. The finisher-shirts will be handed out to you after crossing the finishing line.
Each member of the team will take part in one of the three disciplines (except for the couples). The athletes of the category couples have to take part at least in one discipline. Single disciplines (swim, bike, run) cannot be splitted.
Ranking List Results will be published online one day after the race.
Categories / Team Formations The Triathlon Challenge is a relay event for companies and teams. The athletes must be born in 1998 or earlier.

Der Schwimmstart erfolgt im Obersee in unmittelbarer Nähe des Eishockeystadions. Die 1.9 Kilometer werden im Uhrzeigersinn geschwommen, die Bojen befinden sich also immer auf der rechten Seite (in Schwimmrichtung). The swim start takes place in the Obersee right next to the stadium. The 1.9 km-lap will be swum clockwise, so the buoys are always on the right hand side.

Aus der Wechselzone geht es entlang des Sees in Richtung Busskirch und Stampf. Nach der Schlaufe in der Joner Allmeind führt die Strecke entlang der Geleise via der Seedammunterführung in die Rapperswiler Altstadt. Über Fischmarktplatz, Schlosstreppe und Kapuzinerzipfel, auf dem Strandweg zurück zum Zielgelände. Es sind zwei Runden zu absolvieren. When you get out of the transition, you`ll get to Busskirch und Stampf. After another loop at the Joner Allmeind the course takes you back to the city center of Rapperswil, where you cross the Fischmarket Square, the Stairway and the Kapuziner Station before you get back to the finish area. There are two loops to finish.

Auf dem 45 Kilometer langen, coupierten Rundkurs folgen die Athlet/-innen zuerst dem Obersee, bevor sie via dem unteren Rickengebiet (Neuhaus, Goldingen), dem Zürcher Oberland (Laupen) und Eschenbach zurück nach Schmerikon an den Obersee gelangen. On the hilly 45 km bike-loop the athletes will be taken right next to the Obersee, as they pass the Rickengebiet via Neuhaus and Goldingen the participants come back to the Lake passing Eschenbach and Schmerikon. There are 2 laps to finish.

• Die Wechselzone öffnet um 05:30 Uhr und schliesst für alle Athleten um 07.45 Uhr. • Vergiss deinen Chip nicht. Kein Chip = keine Zeitmessung!
6. REGISTRIERUNG SCHWIMMSTART....
Jeder Athlet muss zwingend über den offiziellen Weg zum Schwimmstart gehen. Dadurch wird dein Zeitmesschip automatisch aktiviert. Wer über die Absperrung springt oder in die Startzone schwimmt, wird nicht erfasst und eine Zeitnahme wird dadurch verunmöglicht.
7. RENNABBRUCH............................................
Teilnehmer die das Rennen abbrechen, müssen sich zwingend bei einem Wettkampfrichter melden, damit der Organisator weiss, dass es dem Athleten gut geht. Wird kein Offizieller in Kenntnis gesetzt, hat der Athlet sämtliche Kosten für die Suchaktion zu tragen.

Radstrecke: Auf der 90.1km langen Radstrecke gibt es total sechs Verpflegungsposten (drei pro Runde) Laufstrecke: Auf der 21.1km langen Laufstrecke befinden sich total acht Verpflegungsposten und vier Wassersstationen (vier respektive zwei pro Runde)
9. NACH DEM RENNEN..................................
• Bike Check-Out hat am 01.06.2014 zwischen 14:30 und 19:00 Uhr zu erfolgen. Das Fahrrad wird nur im Tausch gegen den Zeitmesschip und die Vorweisung eines gültigen Lichtbildausweises ausgehändigt. Bei Verlust des Chips fällt eine Gebühr von CHF 80.- an.
• Die Slotvergabe für die IRONMAN 70.3 Weltmeisterschaft in Mont-Tremblant/Kanada erfolgt am Sonntag, 01.06.2014 um 18:00 Uhr im Eishockeystadion. • Die Startgebühr für die IRONMAN 70.3 Weltmeisterschaft 2014 beträgt CAD 400,- (+ CAD 24,-) Service Fee. Diese Startgebühr ist vor Ort bei der Slotvergabe am 01.06.2014 per Kreditkarte zu begleichen. Der aktuelle Tageskurs ist ausschlaggebend. • Du musst zur Beanspruchung Deines Platzes persönlich anwesend sein und einen Lichtbildausweis zur Identifikation vorweisen können. Alle nicht geltend gemachten Qualifizierungsplätze werden nach einem speziellen Berechnungsschlüssel der WTC (World Triathlon Corporation) weitergegeben.
11. WAS DU NOCH WISSEN SOLLTEST............................................
• Das Mitführen und Verwenden elektronischer Geräte jeglicher Art wie iPods, MP3-Player, Handys (Kopfhörer), GoPros etc. sind während des gesamten Rennens verboten und führt zur Disqualifikation. • Das Begleiten auf der Rad- und Laufstrecke durch nicht am Rennen teilnehmenden Personen ist verboten und wird mit Disqualifikation geahndet. • Ein Zieleinlauf mit Nicht-Teilnehmern (z.B. Kinder, Familie, Freunde) ist aus Sicherheitsgründen nicht erlaubt und führt zur Disqualifikation.

Bike check-in (including helmet and transition bags (BIKE & RUN)) takes place on Saturday, May 31st 2014 from 12:00pm – 06:00pm and on Sunday, June 1st 2014 from 05:30am – 07:30am at the transition area. In order to avoid additional stress we recommend to check-in on Saturday.
4. CHECK OF BIB NUMBERS........................
The bib number and the stickers for bike and helmet must not be modified. For your safety we recommend to put your name, your blood type, potential allergies and for incompatibility with drugs together with your emergency contact telephone number on the back of your bib number.

6. SWIM START REGISTRATION................. Every athlete has to go through the official swim start entrance. This way your timing chip will be activated. Athletes who jump over the fences or swim to the start area will not be registered and will not be timed.
• The entrainment and use of any electronic devices like iPods, MP3 players, mobile phones (headphones), GoPros etc. is prohibited during the race and leads to disqualification. • Personal assistance if not in designated areas is prohibited and leads to disqualification of the athlete. • The company of non-participants (children etc.) at the finish line is prohibited due to safety issues and leads to disqualification.

Athletes who abandon the race, have to inform a race official in order to let the organizer know that you are okay. In case the organizer was not notified, all costs for rescue services will be charged to the athlete.
Results will be available for download on http://ironman.com/switzerland70.3 within 24 hours after the race.
8. AID STATIONS................................................
Bike: On the 90.1k bike portion there is a total of six aid stations (three each loop) Run: On the 21.1k run portion there is a total of eight aid stations and four additional water stations (four respectively two per loop)
9. AFTER THE RACE.......................................... Bike Check-Out (has to be done on race day) on June 1st 2014 from 02:30-07:00pm. The bike is only handed out in exchange of the timing chip. In case of loss of the chip, you will be charged CHF 80.- and the check-out of your bike will only be possible by showing a valid photo ID.

SLOT ALLOCATION.................................... • The slot allocation for the IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship 2014 in Mont-Tremblant takes place at the ice hockey stadium on Sunday, June 1st 2014 at 06:00pm. • the entry fee for the IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship 2014 is CAD 400.- (+ CAD 24,-) service fee and needs to be paid on site at the slot allocation by credit card only (according to the daily exchange rate). • To claim your slot you need to be on site in person and you will need to identify yourself with an official photo ID. All unclaimed qualification slots will be assigned by a special system by the World Triathlon Corporation.
13. AWARDS CEREMONY............................. Awards ceremony takes place on Sunday, June 1st 2014 at 05.15pm at the ice hockey stadium Please be aware that this is only a short overview of the most important information. You will receive more information in detail from the official athletes guide that will be available for download on www.ironman.com/ switzerland70.3.
14. RACE BRIEFING........................................... The last changes will be communicated at the race briefing which is mandatory for all athletes.
