Our target is to keep a historic cultural artifact, a perspective of nature in our wines. Spirited wines, which make you, feel you overcome the time while you enjoy them. The vineyards of Hollenburg create extraordinary experience out of something existing. Their farmers were now and then vintner, through curiosity they became historians and their wines became legends.
The Hoch family have been making wines here since 1640, constantly working in rhythm with nature, not just as vintners but also as controllers of the river traffic that passed through our property. The wines combine the past with the present. We know every inch of our land and we use this knowledge to create our wines, to ensure that they are refreshing, elegant and memorable.

The Hollenburg soil conglomerate is a unique rock formation, washed ashore from the Ur-Traisen for millennia. It is very rich in chalk, an essential requirement for the varieties we cultivate, assuring a minerality and spiciness and a specific mouth-feel as well as allowing for maximum ripeness.
