On a modern Open 60 this is an incredibly fiddley, time-consuming process, as the high-modulus-fiber standing rigging is not secured with turnbuckles and cannot be tuned under load. Instead, the shrouds and stays are simply lashed to the chainplates, and the entire rig is tensioned with hydraulic jacks under the mast step. To make
