The planner, Belle Soul Weddings, used thick, deep winter evergreens as a base and layered soft white blossoms like patience garden roses, lisianthus, freesia and spray roses then dotted with black privet and silver brunia berries to add to the woodland texture. To bring in the wintery hues they used Earl Grey roses to cast a soft grey tone and the quicksand roses brought a touch of soft light blush. Olive branches, bay leaves and frost-dusted curly willow branches wound their way throughout, creating a fairytale in the forest.

"We asked our photographer and videographer to simply capture real, actual moments instead of anything manufactured. You can feel the tangible realness and genuine nature of the situation - in an almost documentary narrative and I think they both hit the nail on the head. When I look at the photos I remember every single little detail, including what things felt like, what the room smelled like and what sounds I could hear. It’s incredible really."

"To us, our wedding wasn’t a show – it was a celebration of the two of us building something special together and asking people to witness that. From the small details to the larger ones, we constantly chose to do things differently. We took our photos before our guests even arrived, allowing us to spend as much time as possible with everybody. Even though we did this, we still had our ‘first look’ in the chapel; something that was private, just between the two of us. I was so overwhelmed I couldn’t even walk down the aisle. It was a precious, intimate moment." The couple found a special way to honour Seline's late mother by incorporating the colour emerald into the wedding mostly in its natural form with greenery - which was her favourite. They also had the pastor who had married many of the bride's family perform their ceremony: "It was a beautiful way to honour the legacy of our family and those who came before us."

"Making my own bouquet with my girlfriends while sipping mimosas on the morning of my wedding is one of my favourite memories of the day."

"Being a florist and stylist the flowers were, of course, so important to me. Doing this for a living also helped me narrow down what I wanted. I think if I didn’t get to make beautiful arrangements every weekend I never would have been able to make up my mind. But I was pretty clear from the very beginning that I wanted something fairly classic. Green and white. Lots of foliage. Natural and garden-inspired."

Season of mists and mellow fruitfulness, Close bosom-friend of the maturing sun; Conspiring with him how to load and bless With fruit the vines that round the thatch-eaves run; T O B E N D W I T H A P P L E S T H E M O S S E D C OT TA G E - T R E E S

AND FILL ALL FRUIT with ripeness to the core; To swell the gourd, and plump the hazel shells With a sweet kernel; to set budding more, And still more, later flowers for the bees, Until they think warm days will never cease, For Summer has o'er-brimmed their clammy cell. John Keats (Ode to Autumn)

"I will never forget the nerve-racking, momentous day when I decided I wanted to nurture my inner creativity and engage a trusted luxury boutique couturier to create my dream bridal gown. Walking into Pallas Couture in Paddington for the first time, I felt like I had entered every girl’s dreamland. Everything was so delicate and beautiful. I immediately fell in love with the exquisite detailing, handcrafted beauty of their gowns using the finest French laces, silks and embroideries, balancing romance with elegance and slim immaculate custom fit. It was truly an unforgettable experience from design to creation. One year in the making and six fittings later, I will always remember my final dress rehearsal and feeling like a real princess just moments from marrying my one true love.

"Our wedding day was the most magical day of our lives. Everything was soft, surreal and elegantly beautiful with a pretty and romantic French garden feel."

Although it took over 50 dresses before she found the one, Chelsea was dressed in an Ines Di Santo gown constructed with layers of white, nude and blush organza. She paired it with Jimmy Choo sandals and a diamond tennis bracelet which belonged to her late aunt. "We were very close, so it was comforting to have something that she owned with me on that day." Her groom wore a classic black tuxedo with gold accents, and Christian Louboutin shoes. Their wedding date and initials were embroided on his shirt as a sentimental touch. Chelsea's five bridesmaids' wore full length lavender tulle Wtoo gowns - each with a slight variation in design, but all flowing and easy to move in.

"I absolutely loved planning the wedding. It was so much fun! Kristin, from Esoteric Events, was like a little fairy godmother when it came to the planning process. She helped eliminate all the stress, which allowed us to focus on the fun aspects of planning," Chelsey explains. Taking on a few fun projects, she learned calligraphy a few months prior to the wedding and personally wrote out all the guest escort cards and place cards. Most of their decor decisions were based around them as a couple and their mutual tastes, which meant gold metal chairs for the reception and an altar and tables draped in white peonies in fact the actual wedding date was planned entirely around the short peony season.

These photos were taken in Ireland, in the county of my ancestors, County Cork, in the embrace of my husband who loved me through two years of pain, uncertainty, sorrow, and illness. He was my rock, he was my light, he was my reason for waking each morning. He is everything to me. He was a constant source of comfort, help, inspiration, and guidance during our health crisis. And I do use the word "our" purposefully there. He went through this as much as I did, if not more so. While I had the physical pain and rehab to focus on, he could only watch me suffer, only hold my hand, and only tell me over and over again that it would get better, that it would get easier, that it would be ok. I couldn't take much more. I felt set upon. I felt that no matter how hard I tried, my body would always betray me, that I would always be sidelined by my health.
