On this day, Americans celebrate the brave men and women who served and died in all American wars. I have lived in Gooding for my entire life and I love living here. I was raised with a strong volunteer ethic. I graduated from Gooding High School as the last class to graduate from the “old” sch ool on Main Street. My Dad was on the school board when our current high school was built. I always love seeing his name on the plaque hanging in the hallway!! I have been active in the Gooding Rotary Club; Gooding, Hagerman and Wendell Chambers, and I was the chairman of the Relay for Life held in Gooding for several years. I worked in the title industry for 35 years helping Gooding County residents buy, sell and research properties in Gooding County. This work gave me a great deal of experience with the way the county works and has been extremely helpful with decisions that commissioners need to make. I enjoy attending and participating in the many Magic Valley committees that I serve on as Gooding County Commissioner. Please vote to re-elect Susan Bolton, Gooding County Commissioner, so that I can continue to serve Gooding County residents.

I am a promoter of business, in fact I have started multiple businesses that we have built up and sold to others that dream of being selfemployed. Some of which were Frogs Lily Pad Restaurant in Hagerman, now known as the Snake River Grill, 1000 Springs Boat Tours, Assist Auto Brokerage, and I still have interests in 1000 Springs Realty & Hagerman Valley Inn.

I am Mark Bolduc and I want to continue being your Gooding County Commissioner. I have lived in Gooding County for the past 50 years and have been a self-employed business owner for the past 36 years. I am a get it done type of person and thrive on challenges.

Since I have been a Gooding County Commissioner we have accomplished a lot of great Createdthings.

COUNTY PROSECUTING ATTORNEY

Sally Toone, Democrat Incumbant (B)

It has been a privilege to represent District 26 over thepast two years in the Idaho State Legislature. I have learned a ton and I’m excited to continue working to improve opportunities, resources and quality of life for all the people of Idaho, but especially the people of Blaine, Camas, Lincoln and Gooding Counties, which make up our district. Our team works very well together both during the legislative session and when we are home in the district. With such a large geographic district, it is immensely helpful to have a team that helps each other by dividing up various responsibilities to be more efficient. Senator Stennett, Representative Toone and I each have diverse strengths and experiences. Our team approach allows us to make the most of our time and better represent all the people of District 26. Know we are honored to represent you and are always available and willing to assist you with any question, concern or issue you might have. If we don’t have the answer, we will work to connect you with someone who does. I hope you are all staying safe and healthy in these uncertain times. As we work from home, our focus is on getting our economy back running wholly and safely. Please don’t forget the May 19 primary is by mail only. Request your ballot at: www.idahovotes.gov!

Second, our Sheriff’s Office has a tough job and they deserve our help and support. A prosecutor gives that support by respecting and defending their work. When that relationship is developed, our law enforcement will find success.

Trevor Misseldine, Candidate

My name is Trevor Misseldine, and I am running for Gooding County Prosecutor. I live, with my family, in Gooding and my extended family has owned land here for nearly 7 decades. Besides farming, my grandfather, Ed Larson, worked for the National Fish Hatchery in Hagerman. My parents are graduates of Hagerman High School. After high school, my father joined the Army. During the summers, my mom would bring us back home. My fondest memories as a child were spent here on grandpa’s farm. Why am I running for County Prosecutor? First, anyone can hold the helm when the sea is calm, but rough seas require real experience. Handling every type of issue the Prosecutor’s office deals with has made me a proven prosecutor. I have more trial experience, with a winning record. I have more experience supervising and training other attorneys. That experience will make our community a safer place.

Third, Gooding County taxpayers should get the most benefit of their tax dollars. In my present position, I have overhauled office systems to save time and tax dollars. Additionally, our current county prosecutor works not only for Gooding County, but he is the Camas Prosecutor too. I will give you what you are paying for by only working in Gooding County.

Matt Pember, Incumbent

An Idaho resident my entire life, I have lived in Gooding for 50 years. I spent mycareer as an educator and worked throughout District 26. I am familiar with the similarities and differences between Blaine, Camas, Gooding and Lincoln Counties. My husband and I own and operate our family farm and cattle ranch in

In these days of Corona outbreaks and stay-athome orders it seems strange to be concerned about an election. This pandemic has brought about many new and interesting changes and challenges to the job of Prosecutor. I am very proud to serve the people of Gooding County who are working so hard during these trying times to bring them to an end. For the past 3 ½ years, it has been my great privilege to serve the people of Gooding County. You’ve truly made Jodi and me feel like this is our forever home. I have worked harder as your prosecutor than probably any other job I’ve ever had and I promise to keep working just as hard for you if re-elected. It’s my goal to see a continuation of the work I’ve begun to bring a much-needed Youth Center to the County, to continue to work with the schools and cities, and to continue to work hard to fight crime and defend the County. I truly feel that my position as a public servant is an opportunity to keep making Gooding a better and better place to live. So, thank you for your support when in the last election. It is my hope that my hard work and dedication has earned your vote again. As we work through these times, I encourage you to vote from the comfort of your homes. Request forms for absentee ballots are available p12-13. Remember Pember. Thank you and God bless.

Bill Thorpe, Republican Candidate (B)

may already know me from the not for profit organization I founded, The Real 3%ers Idaho, a State wide organization that represents over 2 thousand Idahoans. Our moto is "neighbors helping neighbors". Our volunteers have been referenced by numerous Representatives as Constitutional Consultants. I voluntarily spend time going over proposed legislation looking for Constitutionality, weak wording and anything that would or could lead to a violation of the Idaho or US Constitutions. To me, this is how we defend Idaho, especially from out of State interests and their money.

My name is Eric Parker and I'm running For Idaho Senate District 26. That's Gooding, Lincoln, Camas, Blaine Counties. I'm an electrician by trade but, more importantly, I am a husband, a father and a very proud working class

Why am I running? I believe that the residents of the 26th district (Blaine, Camas, Lincoln and Gooding counties) must have a Republican representative. I realized we have no voice in the legislature since we are now dominated by Blaine county. I do not want Idaho to shift from a red state to a blue state. Limitations on free speech, emphasis on illegal immigrant’s rights, vote by mail without ID checks are all policies that the current representative is in favor of and I am opposed to.

IDAHO SENATE

We have a unique way of life in Idaho and I want to keep it that way. I look forward to your support. Email: wmkthorpe@gmail.com

Gooding and Camas counties along with our sons, who are raising their children here and working in the family agricultural business. While representing our district, I have worked to be the voice for working families. I am a champion for our schools and educators and have worked on legislation to improve rural communities’ access to education, as well as making sure our students can meet the challenges of this century. I was able to get an ambulance access bill passed to allow our rural districts the flexibility they need to serve many Idaho communities. I have voiced concerns about safety for workers and products in our state and I’m a founding member of the Legislative Farm, Ranch and Timber caucus. I advocate for the economic, safety and land needs and issues facing many Idaho communities. I welcome the challenges we face in crafting creative, new solutions to the issues of the 21st century.

Michelle Stennett, Democrat Incumbant Michelle represents District 26 in the Idaho State Senate which encompasses Blaine, Camas, Gooding and Lincoln Counties. She is the Minority Leader in the Idaho Senate and serves on the State Affairs and Resources & Environment committees. She is a member of the Workforce Development Counciland has been appointed to several interim committees focusing on natural resources, fisheries, water issues, public lands access, broadband, and ethics in politics.Michelle has a B.A. in International Relations – Environmental Studies, a B.A. in Latin languages, a minor in Business, and a Legislative Energy Horizon Institute certificate from the University of Idaho.

any questions about where I stand please feel free to email me at eric@parkerforidaho.com. I look forward to hearing from all of you. Thank you for your time.

As a working class Idahoan with a family and Bills, I have felt the crunch most Idahoans in district 26 have felt and as your voice in the Senate I will make sure the focus is on redeveloping our economy and learning from our mistakes. When I was asked to run it was due to lack of conservative representation in our district and I do believe we can get more done for our district with representation in the majority party. In closing, there is a lot of information out there about me. Some true, some not so Ifmuch.youhave

Hello my name is Bill Thorpe and I am running for the Idaho State Legislative District 26 Position B.

Who am I? I was born in Chicago and have lived throughout the United States including Illinois, New Jersey, California and now Idaho. I spent my career as a financial person, controller, VP of Finance and Chief Financial Officer at public and family owned companies. I then retired and moved to Idaho. Since then, I have been involved with Hagerman Bike and Walk and the Hagerman Chamber of Commerce. My wife and I have also begun buying, rehabbing and selling houses in the Magic Valley. I grew up in a Republican household and am a life-long Republican. I am a strong believer in the US Constitution and the Bill of Rights.

The Hagerman Valley Senior and Community Center Thrift store remains closed at this time. It is an unknown whether or not we will be allowed to reopen by May 1, 2020. It is finally springtime, and people in the community are outside doing home improvement projects. Please, remember to check the city code to make sure that you are in compliance with city rules regarding fences, outbuildings and any other construction. Call before you start, and remember that utility lines could be underground so it is important to call the dig line phone number to verify you are safe. April has passed, and most of us have been staying inside. But, luckily, isolating ourselves from others and keeping social distance has been successful as there are no cases of Coronavirus currently in Hagerman. This can be credited to the businesses reacting quickly, and following the guidelines set out by the local, state and federal decision makers. This is a great credit to the community of citizens of Hagerman isolating themselves, and using proper sanitizing methods when out in public. We are all grateful for the sacrifices you have made and the care you have taken to make sure our community stays safe during this difficult time. Together we will continue to make a difference. We are hoping that the isolation orders will be lifted soon, but even if the cities are able to gradually reopen, we will need to continue practicing social distancing and sanitizing efforts. We don’t know when the gradual reopening of businesses will be able to begin. We don’t know how long the Coronavirus will affect our communities, but it is important not to forget the importance of staying well as the time goes on. We will continue to keep you informed as we receive information.

In the meantime, please keep supporting our small businesses in any way you can. Many of us have been ordering take out and making a point of supporting our restaurants and businesses as we can. But, they still need additional help. Some of us have received our stimulus check, and have money that is intended to support our local economy. Please, do all you can to support our local businesses.

I just want to thank you all again for all that you are doing to help this community stay safe and well during these difficult times. We are making a difference.
