Interview ENTRETIEN AVEC DAVID BERGER, RESPONSABLE COLLECTION. Entré dans l’entreprise en 2007, David Berger est le responsable collection de la marque Segura depuis 2013. Il est entouré d’une équipe expérimentée et créative composée de chefs de produit et de designers. Il revient pour nous en détail sur l’esprit Segura, qui en fait aujourd’hui une marque si particulière dans l’univers de la moto. Quelle est ta vision Segura ? La marque Segura repose sur des racines sportives avant tout, richement dotée de pilotes prestigieux, des années 70 à nos jours tels que Jean-Luc Guignabodet, Christian Sarron et Régis Laconi… il était donc légitime d’insuffler un esprit vintage à la marque sans perdre de vue l’historique sportif. Quelles sont les influences ? Nous nous inspirons de la mode néo-rétro actuelle, synonyme de retour aux valeurs d’antan et vintages que l’on retrouve aussi bien dans l’automobile que dans les objets du quotidien. Je suis un aficionado des années 70, à l’image de Steve McQueen, acteur emblématique de la « cool attitude ».

« Segura, un esprit vintage avant-gardiste » Comment décrirais-tu cette nouvelle collection ? Cette collection est un mélange permanent entre le vintage et le sport. Segura représente un esprit « vintage avant-gardiste ». Nous avons cherché nos inspirations entre le rétro et le moderne notamment avec notre ligne sport : les blousons comme le Dominator ou le Rocco sont colorés et stylés à l’image des motos hyper sport actuelles. Quelles sont les ambitions de la marque pour les prochaines saisons ? Nous souhaitons performer encore plus dans l’esprit vintage pour suivre au mieux les tendances du marché en développant notamment des produits en série limitée… Les collections sport seront également toujours centrales et à la pointe de la technologie. Nous voulons aussi continuer à nous développer à l’international, nos collections étant très bien accueillies à l’étranger.
INTERVIEW WITH DAVID BERGER, COLLECTIONS MANAGER. David Berger is Collections Manager of the Segura brand since 2013. He joined the company in 2007. He is surrounded by an experienced and creative team of product managers and designers. He takes a detailed look back on the Segura spirit which today makes it such a special brand in the motorcycling world. What is your vision in relation to Segura? The Segura brand is based first and foremost on sporting roots, richly backed by prestigious motorcycle racing heroes, from the 70's to the present day, such as Jean-Luc Guignabodet, Christian Sarron and Régis Laconi, so it was legitimate to infuse a vintage spirit into the brand without overlooking its sports history. What are the influences? We draw our inspiration from the current neo-retro fashion trend, synonymous with a return to old and vintage values that can be found both in cars as well as in everyday objects. I am a fan of the 70's, as portrayed by the actor Steve McQueen, emblematic of a "cool attitude".

« Segura, an avant-garde vintage spirit » How would you describe this new collection? This collection is a constant mix of vintage and sports. Segura represents an "avant-garde vintage" spirit. We searched for our inspiration between retro and modern, especially with our sports line: jackets like the Dominator or Rocco are colourful and stylish like the current very sporty motorbikes. What are the brand's ambitions for next season? We want to go even more into the vintage spirit to follow market trends as closely as possible, including developing products in limited edition collections. The sports collections will also always be central and at the cutting edge of technology. We also want to continue growing internationally as our collections are very well received abroad.
