aballos Chilenos para el Mundo”, es un Libro entregado por Internet de lectura gratuita y compuesto por diversas Ediciones, las que serán publicadas periódicamente y ordenadas por un nombre distinto cada una de ellas para su mejor ubicación. En idioma Español y en Ingles.
La Misión es entregar a los aficionados y profesionales de los caballos del Mundo Ecuestre la crianza de la Raza Chilena en la actualidad, mostrando los reproductores y ejemplares nuevos que puedan acceder a desarrollar diversos deportes Vaqueros y de Rienda en el mundo, para lo cual este ejemplar está plenamente morfológica y funcionalmente adaptado. El caballo de Raza Chilena desde los años 1970 en adelante hasta 2011, fue exportado a muchos países de Sudamérica y Europa, constituyéndose en un gran aporte en dichas crianzas. Posee un Stud Book cerrado desde 1893 y se acerca al ejemplar de numeración 300. 000.. La novedad de esta publicación es relacionar la genética de los ejemplares presentados con la de grandes campeones de otros países y el aporte de la Raza Chilena a ellos.

Es un caballo de un carácter muy manso y dócil, para ser montado por jinetes aficionados y profesionales, rustico, le gusta la vida al aire libre, de alimentación muy sencilla, muy agradable como caballo de silla, de paseo, rendidor en deportes vaqueros y de rienda internacional, perfectamente se puede adaptar a la Doma Clásica, Doma Vaquera y deportes de Aparta de Ganado, Freno de Oro Europeo. A través de este libro queremos mantener una comunicación muy fluida con nuestros lectores, contestando todas las consultas que estimen necesarias, de inquietud genética, morfológica, comercial y turística. Chile es un país de más de 3.500 kilómetros de largo de norte a sur, pero muy angosto entre la cordillera de Los Andes y el océano Pacifico, por lo cual la crianza del Caballo de Raza Chilena está adaptada al más duro de los desiertos como lo es Atacama por el norte, los fértiles valles de la Zona Central y la Patagonia chilena de Aysén y Magallanes. Nuestro Deporte Nacional es el Rodeo Chileno, nacido en 1860, el cual se practica en todos los lugares del país. La Confederación del Rodeo Chileno reúne a todas las Federaciones, con una cantidad de más de 40.000 asociados y practicantes, todos en caballos chilenos inscritos en Stud Book. 3
Es muy antigua, más de 300 años, la Prueba del Movimiento a la Rienda y más reciente con 20 años el Reining. Una delegación deportiva chilena asistió al mundial de Reinmig de Normandía en 1914 y Tryon en 2018. Las Asociaciones del Rodeo Chileno mantienen como práctica habitual efectuar una cabalgata anual con sus asociados y sus familias. La práctica del Rodeo Chileno la efectúan, niños, universitarios, mujeres y hombres de todas las edades, entre 8 y 80 años, gracias a las cualidades del Caballo de Raza Chilena. Los Entes Registradores del Stud Book de la Raza y confirmación por ADN de sus ejemplares a través del país son: SNA, Sociedad Nacional de Agricultura; Sofo, Sociedad Agrícola de Temuco; Sago, Sociedad Agrícola de Osorno; Ogana, Asociación Gremial Agrícola y Ganadera Austral; Asogama, Sociedad Agrícola de Magallanes.

Cuando nace una cría se avisa mediante un formulario al Ente Registrador de cada zona, luego lo visita un Inspector, filia la cría, después de hace ADN en laboratorio y si es positivo se confirma paternidad y procede a ingreso a Stud Book y numeración.

¿Cuándo empezaste a criar?
Empecé a criar Caballos Chilenos inscritos en 1995, pero con mi familia siempre criamos caballos para los trabajos ganaderos desde hace más de 120 años ininterrumpidamente. ¿Cuales fueron tus primeros ejemplares?
Mis primeros ejemplares fueros yeguas: Los Alfalfales Campechana, El Ideal Aroma, La Playa Tonada, Los Pretiles Allegadita, Taitao de Roma Kinwylla, El Trapiche Rosalinda. 7

¿Cuándo te nació la inquietud por el Reining? Nació en una exhibición que hizo el entrenador de Reining Holandés Hans Smeelen en la media luna de San Carlos, Ñuble, en 2005, montando Alas del Cóndor Amuleto Suertudo. ¿Qué caballos elegiste para dicha especialidad? En ese año se nos invitó a participar en un Proyecto de Rienda Internacional en Criadero Santa Isabel, mande a Quimpomay Chispero, Fichada y Coiguilla, madre de Quimpomay Torero.
El primer jinete fue Luis Paredes, por esos años quien más influencia tuvo como entrenador y maestro fue indudablemente Jango Salgado. ¿Cuándo decidiste construir una pista en tu casa?
Fue paulatino, ese lugar que resulto ser muy bueno por su piso y emplazamiento se empezó a usar en forma espontánea, con los años termino como una pista reglamentaria de 45 x 95 metros. ¿Cuándo empezaron a competir tus caballos?
Las competencias ya existían en el país, pero mis caballos se incorporaron el 2007. ¿Como se gestó la idea de ir a un mundial?
Fue en 2009, queríamos era ir a Kentucky 2010, solo lo logramos en 2014, la idea base se ha mantenido, el Caballo Chileno tiene en los Mundiales Ecuestres la mejor ventana al mundo para darse a conocer. ¿Qué caballos llevaste a Normandía y jinete?
A Normandía fue Quimpomay Torero montado por Daniel Martins Cruz.

Actualmente trabaja de planta en el Criadero Marcelo Troncoso Ibáñez, quien ha estado ya presente en dos Mundiales Ecuestres, siendo el primer jinete chileno en estos eventos. ¿Que caballos llevaste a Tryon al Mundial?

¿Como ha sido tu experiencia y resultados con tus caballos?
La raza no está especializada en Rienda, hay caballos extraordinarios y en su misma familia otros no tienen los requisitos, básicamente de serenidad. Hay un trabajo interesantísimo que hacer en este tema como criadores. En general dentro de Chile siempre estamos ganando competencias, aunque el nivel cada vez es más competitivo.

En los mundiales se nos ha hecho difícil mostrar lo que son nuestros caballos, las razones son infinitas, pocas competencias locales, mala infraestructura, no hay pistas cubiertas, dificultad de cruzar el océano, diferente hemisferio acá estamos en invierno previo al mundial, etc., pero lo más relevante fue que en ambos Mundiales los caballos llegaron lesionados y muy bajo su rendimiento.

How was your experience and results with your horses?
The breed is not specialized in Rienda, there are extraordinary horses and in the same family others do not have the requirements, basically of serenity. There is a very interesting work to do on this subject as breeders. In general, in Chile we are always winning competitions, although the level is becoming more competitive. La América fue Campeona Nacional de Morfología en la gran Expo Bicentenario el 2010, sus hijos han sido todos extraordinarios de oficio y morfología, destacaría a Mañanera, Caballo de Palo, Tarea y Taca Taca. ¿Cuéntame del famoso Torero?

El Torero tiene una campaña completa, en Morfología fue campeón Potrillo y tres veces Campeón Potro, en Reining fue 3 veces Campeón Nacional de todas las razas en categoría abierta y ostenta el mayor puntaje FEI del país con 73.5 puntos. Es además un caballo que ha entrado en los anales de la historia como el primer Potro de Raza Chilena en participar en un Mundial Ecuestre de Reining.

Habría que destacar que como reproductor sus hijos están siendo tan o más éxitos que su padre tanto en Morfología como en Reining.

Sin lugar a duda, las estadísticas en Brasil lo confirman con creces, pero para ello hay que ponerse a trabajar como Raza, trabajar de verdad, formar una cultura y una genética de Reining. ¿Cuáles son sus fortalezas?
La habilidad de desplazamiento, herencia vaquera y forjada en el Rodeo, es un caballo que da mucho con poco. ¿Cuántos ejemplares mantienes en trabajo de rienda?

Nosotros heredamos el proyecto de Rienda Internacional y por lo tanto desde los orígenes hemos sido de una política de puertas abiertas. Nos han visitado grandes personalidades del Reining de muchas partes del mundo, pero sin duda Brasil y EE. UU. son los principales. Destacaría también que muchos jinetes de Rienda Chilena
¿Cuál es la proyección futura de Quimpomay?
Pensamos ahora más que nunca que la Raza Chilena requiere de una alternativa deportiva, una universal, ahora con la NRHA Chile creo todo está dado para instalar lo que denominan la Industria. Are you a member of the Chilean NHRA?

What championships do you organize in your field?
For 7 years we have organized the traditional Quimpo Cup, this year in November it will be the seventh, already as NRHA Chile. What type of visits do you receive in your field of Reining?

“Cuando me hice cargo de la granja de mi padre en 1990, decidí complementar la operación de cría de vacas nodrizas con algunos caballos adecuados para trabajar con ganado. En Verona (Italia) encontré a mis dos primeros Criollos, eran castrados, y en 1994 compré una yegua de pura sangre criada por el Dr. Solanet en Argentina. En esta ocasión, conocí al director de la Escuela Alemana en Buenos Aires, el Sr. Strieder, que conocía a los caballos chilenos porque había trabajado en Chile antes de venir a Argentina. Recomendó caballos chilenos para trabajar con ganado y estableció contacto con Don Alberto Schwalm Bielefeld, un criador de renombre, cuyos antepasados emigraron de Alemania a Chile en el siglo XVIII. Alberto Schwalm me invitó a 23

Chile en 1996. Vivíamos en una casa cerca de su propiedad y visitamos juntos varios criadores de caballos chilenos. Fue el deseo expreso de Alberto Schwalm que llevemos caballos chilenos de la más alta calidad a Alemania. Ya era consciente del hecho de que el futuro pertenece al tipo de caballo claramente rectangular, por lo que me ofreció de su cría La Amanecida el semental Choclero nacido el 27.10.1992.

Después de ver de 12 a 14 sementales, hizo que Choclero le trajera. Ya desde más de 100 metros de distancia supe, ¡Ese es él! Mi impresión se confirmó cuando me senté en su silla de montar, aunque acababa de montarlo recientemente, se desarrolló una comprensión ciega inmediatamente entre Choclero y yo. Lo monté a toda velocidad y todo funcionó. ¡También era extremadamente cómodo para sentarse! Choclero había ganado la Exposición en Osorno a la edad de dos años el 3 de octubre de 1994. La evaluación fue realizada por el juez Eduardo Porte Fernández. También elegimos tres yeguas de ascendencia principal que ya estaban entrenadas: Fue del criadero “Las Lomas” a las dos yeguas Yuma y Campera, así como del criadero “El Amanecer” a la yegua La José.

Herr Strieder kannte die chilenischen Pferde, da er vor seiner Zeit in Argentinien auch in Chile tätig war. Er empfahl mir rein chilenische Pferde für die Arbeit mit Rindern und stellte den Kontakt zu Don Alberto Schwalm Bielefeld her, einem renommierten Züchter, dessen Vorfahren im 18. Jahrhundert aus Deutschland nach Chile ausgewandert waren. Alberto Schwalm lud mich 1996 nach Chile ein. Wir wohnten in einem Haus in der Nähe seines Anwesens und besuchten gemeinsam einige Züchter chilenischer Pferde. Es entsprach dem ausdrücklichen Wunsch von Alberto Schwalm, dass wir chilenische Pferde bester Qualität mit nach Deutschland nehmen. Er war sich schon damals bewusst, dass dem deutlich im Rechteck stehenden Pferdetyp die Zukunft gehört, daher bot er mir aus seiner Zucht La Amanecida den am 27.10.1992 geborenen Hengst Choclero an. Nachdem ich bereits 12 bis 14 Hengste gesehen hatte, ließ er Choclero holen. Schon aus über 100 Metern Entfernung wusste ich: Das ist der Richtige! Mein Eindruck bestätigte sich, als ich in seinem Sattel saß: Obwohl er erst vor kurzem angeritten worden war, entwickelte sich zwischen mir und Choclero sofort ein blindes Verständnis - ich ritt ihn in allen Gangarten, und alles funktionierte.

Zudem war er äußerst bequem zu sitzen! Choclero hatte am 03.10.1994 im Alter von zwei Jahren die Zuchtschau in Osorno gewonnen. Die Bewertung wurde damals von dem Zuchtrichter don Eduardo Porte Fernández durchgeführt.

Unsere Wahl fiel außerdem auf drei Stuten bester Abstammung, die bereits ausgebildet waren: Es handelte sich aus der Zucht «Las Lomas» um die beiden Stuten Yuma und Campera, sowie aus der Zucht «El Amanecer» um die Stute La Jose. Alle überzeugten mich hinsichtlich ihres Exterieurs. Ich habe sie ausgiebig probegeritten - sie waren ausgesprochen rittig und sehr bequem zu sitzen. Danach schauten wir uns die Pedigrees an und stellten fest, dass Yuma und Campera dieselbe Mutter hatten - Hilandera aus der Zucht von Las Lomas.»

Die Sporterfolge der aus Chile importierten Pferde sind umso eindrucksvoller, wenn man diese Erfolge in Relation zum Pferdebestand betrachtet. In Deutschland gibt es beispielsweise über 38.000 Quarter Horses, und nur ein Bruchteil im Promillbereich dieses Bestandes erringt deutsche und internationale Sporterfolge. Dagegen haben 100% der aus Chile importierten Pferde sportliche Spitzenleistungen erbracht! Auch wenn die Sporterfolge der chilenischen Pferde die Zuschauer und Teilnehmer, die sie «live» miterlebt hatten, nachhaltig beeindruckten. Auch wenn Choclero bei denjenigen, die sich für Criollos oder für den Team- und Cattlepenning-Sport interessieren, als Weltmeister des Jahres 2000 in Erinnerung bleiben wird, werden die Erinnerungen an diese sportlichen Erfolge verblassen. den rein chilenischen Pferden im Westernreitsport Deutschlands immer um eine verschwindend geringe Minderheit handelte, ist es nur verständlich, dass ihre Präsenz im Sport von der Teilnahme einer geringen Anzahl Reiter an diesen Veranstaltungen abhängig ist. In den letzten Jahren ist die Anzahl der Reiter chilenischer Pferde im Westernreistsport aus verschiedenen persönlichen Gründen immer geringer geworden, und seit dem Jahr 2016 habe ich keine chilenischen Pferde mehr in den deutschen Statistiken gefunden. Der sportliche Ruhm der chilenischen Pferde mag verblassen, aber das Vermächtnis von Choclero und der drei chilenischen Stuten in der Criollozucht wird bleiben: Der Name Choclero ist derjenige, der am häufigsten in den Pedigrees von in Deutschland geborenen Criollos zu finden ist, auf diese Weise wird die

Dass die Choclero-Yuma-Nachkommen nach wie vor große Wertschätzung erfahren, zeigt sich insbesondere darin, dass das Sieger-Hengstfohlen der Criollo-Fohlenprämierung des Hessischen Zuchtverbandes im September 2019, La Nevada Venturo, jeweils doppelt Choclero und doppelt Yuma gezogen ist.

Die meisten Criollozüchter in Deutschland verfügen über einen oder mehrere Choclero-Nachkommen - neben einer Vielzahl von hervorragenden Zuchtstuten gibt es auch zwei gekörte Söhne und drei Enkelsöhne, in deren Genen Choclero weiterlebt. Choclero, Yuma, Campera, La Jose und ihre rein chilenischen Nachkommen haben in Deutschland, wo es über eine Million Pferde gibt, einen Eindruck von der Qualität chilenischer Und besonders glücklich schätzen dürfen sich solche Züchter, die einen oder sogar mehrere rein chilenische Choclero-Nachkommen besitzen, so wie die Zucht meiner Familie, CP-Criollos. Insgesamt sind mir 12 rein chilenische Choclero-Töchter bekannt, acht von ihnen sind in der Zucht - eine Tochter von Campera, die anderen von Yuma. In der Criollozucht der Familie von Rolf Ludwig gibt es sogar noch einen Choclero-Yuma-Sohn, den 2010 geborenen El Salvadore. Pferde hinterlassen: Sie haben herausragende sportliche Leistungen gezeigt. Das fachkundige Publikum mag anhand ihrer sportlichen Leistungen ihre Handlungsschnelligkeit und ihren Arbeitswillen erkannt haben. Dass die chilenischen Pferde darüber hinaus ein den Menschen zu-
Daher ist es ein starkes Signal und ein besonderer Ausdruck von Wertschätzung für die chilenische Rasse, dass deutsche Züchter mit rein chilenischen Pferden nach Möglichkeiten suchen, diese kostbare Genetik zu erhalten und eine dauerhaft überlebensfähige Population rein chilenischer Pferde aufzubauen. Weil die in Deutschland lebenden rein chilenischen Pferde alle in erster Generation von Choclero abstammen, ist ihr Bestand nicht überlebensfähig. Er wird aussterben, sofern es nicht gelingt, frisches chilenisches Blut zuzuführen. Die rechtlichen Voraussetzungen für den Import von frischer chilenischer Genetik nach Deutschland sind momentan nicht gegeben: Das chilenische Zuchtbuch lässt keine Eintragung von im Ausland geborener Pferde zu, auch wenn sie nachweislich rein chilenischer Abstammung sind. Daher können die in Deutschland geborenen rein chilenischen Pferde keine chilenischen Papiere erhalten. Die Gründung eines deutschen Zuchtbuches für rein chilenische Pferde wiederum ist nur unter der Voraussetzung sinnvoll, dass es sich um einen überlebensfähigen Bestand von Zuchttieren handelt.

Für den Import von Zuchttieren oder von Zuchtmaterial in die Europäische Union existieren bürokratische Hürden, die der chilenische Zuchtverband momentan genausowenig erfüllt, wie alle südamerikanischen Criollozuchtverbände, in denen es ebenfalls als Criollos eingetragene Pferde rein chilenischer Abstammung gibt. Im 16. Jahrhundert überlebten die ersten Vorfahren der rein chilenischen Pferde die beschwerliche Reise von Europa nach Südamerika auf den Schiffen der Conquistadoren. Die Pferde überstanden alle Widrigkeiten und Jahrhunderte, und in dem seit 1893 bestehenden Zuchtbuch der Rasse wurden mittlerweile schon über 300.000 Tiere eingetragen. Es mag ein historischer Schritt gewesen sein, dass im Jahr 1996 vier von diesen rein chilenischen Pferden, deren Zuchthistorie bis ins 16. Jahrhundert reicht, zurück auf den Kontinent ihres Ursprungs gelangt sind. Wir leben heute im Zeitalter der Globalisierung, in einer Zeit weltweiten Handels, in der die Dauer einer Reise zwischen Europa und Südamerika nicht in Wochen, sondern in Stunden gemessen wird. Sollte es heutzutage unmöglich sein, das rein chilenische Erbe von Choclero in Europa für die Zukunft zu bewahren? 53
