Students must earn a “C” in the second semester (102) of a foreign language in order to enroll in the first course (201) of the second year of a foreign language.

Distribution Requirements The distribution requirements ensure that all students study, at the introductory level, a variety of academic disciplines, guaranteeing breadth in their education and introducing them to possible majors. Many of the courses that meet the distribution requirement also count toward a major or minor in the discipline.
