Coach shares expertise TAE KWON DO master coach Paul Harper shared his expertise with local students at a recent seminar. Mr Harper, the holder of a fifth-degree black belt and a member of the ITF Australia coaching committee, conducted a three-hour training session for Il Shim Tae Kwon-Do. After the warm up, Mr Harper demonstrated basic techniques building from punching and blocking, as well as competition sparring techniques and the application of theory to realworld situations. Everyone who attended was impressed with Mr Harper’s knowledge and is looking forward to next weekend when students will travel to Melbourne to attend a master class run by Master Michael Daher, eighth-degree black belt, and for senior students to be graded. Finally Mr Harper assessed a student who is unable to attend a grading next week and the club congratulates Alexandra on achieving her white belt yellow stripe. If you’d like to try tae kwon do please feel free to contact local instructor Dave on 0402 270 347.
