Rosemount HookUps Delivers... The Rosemount HookUps Connection System is a prefabricated process connection for all types of pressure-based measurement applications: flow, pressure, differential pressure, and level. Rosemount HookUps provides the optimal mounting configuration for all pressure transmitters. The system significantly reduces installation and maintenance costs and allows measurement instruments to operate with the greatest possible degree of stability and accuracy.
Compliance The HookUps Connection System makes environmental compliance easier by eliminating threaded connections. There is no need for tubing and associated fittings with the system’s all welded/flanged construction. The elimination of threaded connections results in further reduction of fugitive emissions and increased safety.
Direct Mounting Saves Money, Improves Performance Remote mounting requires variable installation design utilizing long impulse lines. These lines are often the source of maintenance calls on the measurement system. The Rosemount HookUps provides dramatic performance improvement over remote mounting methods while providing a faster and easier method of installation.
The Installation Solution The Rosemount HookUps connection system offers a combination of optimum measurement technology with proven mounting practices and hardware integration to meet your pressure Complete the Project Faster and Save 30 to 50 Percent on the Installed Cost Significant savings in installed labor costs will be realized by using HookUps™ due to the simplified, pre-fabricated, packaged design. Using the HookUps™ software, engineers will save valuable time spent specifying systems. Procurement costs can also be dramatically reduced because only one purchase order is needed. Quicker design and installation ultimately results in faster project completion and quicker start-ups.
Break the Cycle of Maintenance Dependence and Realize the True Performance of Your Transmitter Long impulse lines were necessary to provide access to the transmitter for frequent adjustment, but the same long lines cause many of the problems for which the transmitter must be adjusted. The end result is a viscous cycle of maintenance dependence.
Pressure-346
Mount near ground to ease maintenance access
Long impulse lines create zero shifts and plugging problems

Hookups Ordering Information
CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITIES The Customer acknowledges that the instrument installation kits, offered for sale by Rosemount, Inc., require Customer’s selection methodology, as well as special customer knowledge and experience about its own products and processes, including application of customer’s own engineering standards, to be used properly. Accordingly, the customer agrees that it shall have complete responsibility for the following: •
determining the measurement required (e.g. flow, pressure, level)
•
determining the process conditions (e.g. temperature, pressure, toxicity, environmental hazards, plugging, corrosiveness, vibration, freeze protection/winterization requirements, safety concerns, etc.)
•
selecting the category of details to use
•
selecting a specific detail within the chosen category
•
selecting the materials of construction (metallurgy) of all assembly components
•
selecting the valves to be used in the assembly (e.g. valve body material, ball material, seat material, packaging material, handle options, emission bonnets, drilled ball, etc.)
•
specifying any special testing to be done (e.g. dye penetration, radiography, hydrostatic, etc.)
•
specifying any governmental certificates required
•
specifying any special cleaning or drying required (e.g. for chlorine, oxygen, etc.)
OUTLINE OF MANUAL ORDERING PROCEDURE If the software is not accessible and an order is desired, follow the manual ordering procedure outlined here. The following sections detail the four main parts to ordering a Rosemount HookUp Connection System. These are the four main parts to ordering are: •
Part One: Determine the Process Material Category
•
Part Two: Select the Core Detail number
•
Part Three: Select the required specifications for the Core Detail
•
Part Four: Select options
This will generate a model number. Each selection made will result in code letters and numbers being added to the end of the Model Number. Below is one example of a complete model number. Individual sections of the model number are explained in the following sections. Example Model Number: 5271-04/SS-1/SW-2-2/01//;5-MR;7-H1;8-11;9-OX;1 1-P3;13-MC1 NOTE The Rosemount HookUps Connection System model numbers must include punctuation as shown.
The customer acknowledges that standard weld connections on all assemblies are “socket weld” except for Category 8, and that it is responsible for determining when mounting brackets or other support requirements are required (e.g. vibration problems on the process piping, etc.). The customer also acknowledges that any information provided, including, without limitation data, facts, designs, options or specifications, or software or hardware programs including same, shall be considered informational only and shall not constitute a recommendation or warranty.

PART THREE Select Required Specifications During this part of the ordering procedure, you must select the required specifications for your core detail. Find your Core Detail Number again on Table 2, 3, or 5 to determine which specifications you are required to select for your HookUp Connection System. A bullet “•” in a required specification column indicates that the specification is required for the core detail number in that row. Follow the individual instructions for each of the required specifications below.

(5) Same as “BW” but with a 1/8 inch drilled port connecting the flange faces, used with “KEMPCHEN” double spiral wound gaskets and special “leak detection” flange systems.
Venturi and Wedge Meter Connection Dimensions Specify your venturi and Wedge meter Connection Dimensions from Table 10. Write the whole-number dimensions in the order blanks in the sequence they are presented in the table. For instance, if your dimensions are W = 4 inches, X = 6 inches, Y = 6 inches, Z= 16.6 inches, and I = 5 inches, the corresponding ordering code would be 4-6-6-16.6-5. Note that the horizontal distance from the flow element shown on the detail will be increased by approximately the “I” dimension provided.
NOTE At this point you have a complete model number without any options. You should have no blank spaces between items in the number: only hyphens “-” between elements from the same category and slashes “/” between the categories themselves. Go on to “Part Four” on page 362.

(1) Select both the appropriate devise and material to make this option code valid (for example 3-IS). (2) This option is only available for categories 5,6, or 7, or DP and P. (3) The certification includes the chemical composition and physical properties for all pressure containing components supplied in the assembly as audited and verified by TUEV (4) Specify Option 7-HX, and define conditions as a non-listed option. (5) Select both the appropriate flange or process connections size and flange type, class and finish to make this option code valid (for example 8-24). (6) Valves and piping assemblies are pressure tested with air or nitrogen. Hydrostatic testing with water is not done when this option is selected. Option 7-P or 7-DP must be specified when this option is selected.S (7) Option 10 is required only if Option 8 is not used to select and ANSI/ASME B16.5 or DIN flange for a process connection. If Option 8 is used to select an ANSI/ASME B16.5 or DIN flange the pressure rating will be established for the diaphragm seal gauge, and Option 10 is not required. (8) For traditional flange only.
