After a long journey filled with many ups and downs, we have reached 7 months of existence. AH YEAH! This Lumazine, short for Luminous Magazine, is a fun way to showcase more information about not just Luminous Music Entertainment itself, but also its stars. We will feature fellow stars for exclusive interviews, to write a special article, and etc. This will be another present from us to you all, and we hope you can enjoy the beauty and the crackiness of this entire thing. However, many happy moments need to come to an end, and there shall be a revelation towards the end of this edition that will change the game for all of us. It shall affect all of us emotionally, but we won’t let it affect the future of LME as we will continue to keep striving together with our stars. We still have many surprises awaiting you all~ As always, let’s be the light and shine brightly in this dark world!
Awesome guys! After our success with LMFM, we’re back with a brand new way to communicate with our lovely stars. I can’t believe LME’s 7 months anniversary was over week ago, on 15 th September. It feels awesome because we have become a family for this long and hopefully we can last infinitely. LMFM is not over though, we will continue with that one as well because its was so welcomed and well received. We just went on hiatus since all the CEOs are becoming busy with our work life. In order to celebrate late anniversary of LME, we made this Lumazine. Lumazine will from now on examine fun facts, trivia, feature LM Stars, as well some other infos. Hope you guys can enjoy our first release of Lumazine. Believe me, you don’t want to miss it. It’s too fun and too cool to be ignored XD.

ntroducing our very own talented baby elephant by the stage name of Jin Seollin! Born as a millennium baby in the year 2000, Seollin has climbed up the ladder by showcasing her many talented skills. She
has really set a name for herself through her Ice Cream

How do you start musical arrangements? Do you play the piano and go with the flow, or do you compose the notes and play?
Cake slow piano version for LME’s Acoustic Makeover contest. The beautiful cover was favorited by many people, which easily earned her the first place. Aside from her musical talent, Seollin seems to be a lucky charm and won many different contests before. We had the time to get an exclusive interview with her and have her share more about her passion and talents.
Where did you get the inspiration TO make the acoustic rendition of Ice Cream Cake? I was listening to acoustic songs the time Ice Cream Cake was released, adding the obsession on Leo and LYn’s ‘Blossom Tears’, something just clicked in my mind that ICC should sound nice acoustic too, so I named it Ice Cream Cake - Blossom Farewell version. Hahahahaha. I’m thankful LME provided a chance (and motivation) for me to actually upload this cover. *hugs*
Back then when I was much younger, I went with the flow, but now I tend to plan things out first before I make covers. I listen to the song and determine how the notes would sound like on piano while I’m away from the instrument (like a deaf Beethoven lol) then I try them out on the piano and make any modifications if something sounds off. I’m not quite sure if I answered this question actually lmao.
WHO IS YOUR INSPIRATION OR ROLE-MODEL? LMAO I have thousands. They’re mostly rappers like Tablo, Rap Monster, Suga, and then we have this very out-of-expectations boy here whose name is Sungha Jung. Well, he was the reason I started playing the ukulele and guitar so why not credit him, heh.
So you can play the guitar and ukulele too? How long have you been playing them for? About three years ago, I got the guitar from my cousin who immigrated (or emigrated?) to Australia and my ukulele two years back (WITH SUNGHA JUNG’S AUTOGRAPH BWEHEHEHEHEH). But no, the guitar’s too big for me and the ukulele’s too off-pitch. I don’t exactly know how to play them, but I dabble with them from time to time to figure out random things.
Will we ever hear a cover using those instruments? Once in a blue moon? I’m not good at any of them yet. Maybe as accompaniment but fingerstyle might take more time to master.
What would you do if you could meet your bias? I would suffocate. *throwback when I almost got to see Ravi in person OPPAAAAAAAAAAAAA*
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE ICE CREAM FLAVOR AND WHY? HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN PLAYING THE PIANO? Somewhere around 10-11 years? I remember I started learning when I was 5, but my teacher insisted 4 lol.
DO YOU USUALLY LISTEN BY EAR OR FIND A MUSIC SHEET? By ear. That’s why I always fail sight reading orz
Is this to match Ice Cream Cake hahahahaha I don’t know actually. I just eat anything that’s provided hahahaha. But if I had a choice, I always go for mint chocolate chip or something sour and fruity like… sorbets? I don’t have a specific reason for this actually, I just love them in reality.
LASTLY, DO YOU HAVE ANY MESSAGE FOR ALL THE TALENTED LM STARS? Ehhh just keep on singing and dreaming? XD

This month, LME held one of its biggest contest to date where we had a total of 39 people participating in 10 groups to present to us 10 amazing songs of different genres. We asked a representative of each group to state their honest thoughts about the process.

When the group list first came out, I was excited to know that I'm in Dance/EDM group since the concept is quite fun to do. However I never have a collab with Winny and Seollin so I was wondering how it will turn out. We actually picked two songs to cover which is a boy group song and also girl group. We were thinking to cover both and see which one worth to be released. However since the time might not be by our side, we decided to choose the girl group song because so far it sounds good already! The progress is a bit slow because of exams but we definitely will meet the deadline! We are also going to show a new side of us too. Watch out! ;)

I have to say I only knew one of my team member at first, so I had to stalk the other two, but when I found out they are amazing ballad singers, I knew this is going to be a blast. We work really well together and we support each other, and the other members are very willing to re-record even though I'm really a picky mixer and I'm very grateful for that. I'm really glad I'm part of this team!
When the CEOs announced the groups, I couldn't have been happier. The other stars I was paired with are people that I've worked with before and really enjoy working with, people that I click with, and I feel like that made this a little bit easier on us. It wasn't very difficult to pick out a song that we all agreed on and divvy up the parts. We each had a say in the overall lyric distribution which made things much better for us since everyone got at least one or two of the lines they really wanted. Though we've had some setbacks, we're working hard to fix everything and come together for an amazing final product, and I couldn't be more thankful to my teammates for that.

For me, I was quite pleased with my group! We had a good mix of rappers and vocals and I think we picked a song that really matches the "hip hop" group. We had so many song choices and we wanted to do it all, but we managed to use a method where we settled to just one song. We picked a song and team name pretty quickly and I can't wait to hear how the song will turn out! :)

To be quite honest, I was extremely worried about how my group was going to do as at first, we hadn't agreed on a single song even tho it was quickly approaching our deadline. I had honestly thought that we'd end up dropping out of the competition when one of the members went quite inactive and the other dropped out due to her reasons. I was frustrated to the point I honestly felt like dropping out as well (I didn't in the end xD) Then our new members came in and boom, everything was done really quickly which I'm really grateful for. Now, all we have to do is wait for the parts to be submitted and mixed then we're all done! All in all, I'm really proud to have them on the team and of course, that I'm on this team <3

At first, we had a hard time deciding the songs. But finally we agreed to do one song from a not-so-popular-butlegendary singer xD. The parts submission from every members were a bit late for some reason, but we finally made a rough mix and now we're making fixes here and there. I just love working with everyone because they're so cooperative on everything so it goes smoothly without a serious problem. Muehehehe ^^

Everyone in the group suited the song we chose really well (in my opinion? XD) And I really enjoyed working with Yumi, Tada and Mel because each of us has their own unique vibe that contributes to the result of the song. Even though I misplanned some stuff, we could solve the problems super quickly and even finished recording quickly as well! I'm glad to be in this group because everyone was able to discuss and voice their opinion. :)

My experience with this EML group project has its ups and downs, but mainly ups since I think our group tempo and response is pretty fast and honest. Another surprise factor was where the rapper of our group just really nailed her parts despite the fact she didn't fully believe in herself. A lot of our members have improved since their first try-out recording for this song and I'd personally say our group is really good at team-work and helping each other out. I also feel like everyone contributed fairly as well and everyone tried their best.

To be honest at first, I was worried because 'Pray' is a difficult song to sing, it's like the root of Rock; it involves a lot of energy, emotion and vocal projection and when I finally said we needed to improve the song big time, everyone was so on board and ready to rerecord even though the mixing was almost finished. They are the best team members ever. They work hard and listen to each other and I think that that will be shown through our competition song. Zee also helped a lot and believed I could be a good leader, thank you Zee! In summary they are the greatest team mates I could ask for :)

At first, I was a bit worried about my team since I haven't even talked to them ever, but it turns out that we could cooperate wwith each. There were some discussion about the songs we wanted to do coz our tastes were a but different, but after we finally decided on a song, everything was quite easy from there. Although there were also complications in the recording parts, we managed to get through it. I'm still waiting for some parts but for now, i really hope the outcome is great (even with my amateur-like mixing)

GLOW WORM HELLO READERS! Welcome to Lumazine’s very first edition of
Crack is Back
brought to you by LME’s Derp Queen, Maerin.
Although technically the crack can’t be brought back if it wasn’t there to begin with, LME is filled with crack heads. Like the ones that will write this corner’s article in the future! In this month’s edition, we will be unravelling the mystery of LME’s infamous mascot; THE GLOW WORM. This mysterious creature was caught in the LM Stars Line Chat one day, lurking. The glow worm was identified as a female and the only one of her kind. Some stars had also confirmed that the glow worm had actually emerged in the chat of Luminous Love. The chat that consisted of the authors of “Luminous Love”.
While scientist are still trying to figure out how this glow worm actually came about, investigators have come across a possibility of it being an unidentified substance that has a rather unusual side effect. This substance was found in South Korea. Specifically detected in the Music Video of the SM Entertainment group, SHINee’s Married to The Music.

In the video stated, members of the contemporary K-Pop group were drinking a suspicious glowing substance. Youngest member, Lee Taemin also experienced the glow effect during said music video but fortunately overcame it after dancing off all the substance,
Here Lumazine will reveal unseen pictures of LME’s very own glow worm who is widely shipped with SHINee’s Lee Taemin for many reasons. The glow effect scandal is just another additional reason to the long list of reasons as to why you should ship them.
You can see that at 0:27, member Lee Taemin downed the drink. At 0:32 there was a scene of him dancing in his glowing state. The sight shocked fans from all around the world and with the appearance of the glow worm, investigators had immediately put the substance under close watch.

And after listening to couple of covers done by other people and even listening to original, Im still not over by LME version. The sassiness of each member, the vocal projection of each member , the harmonies, the mixing. It is just wow.

Super Junior - Marry U
Why you asked? Marry U has always been one of my personal favourite even before I joined LME. When I joined, Marry U was also the very first collab I ever joined. I fell for the voices, it was very calming, and if someone proposed by singing this song, the exact same way as LME did, I would definitely say YES. Marry U has this sweet scent in the song where people would just simply fall deep into it. Listen and you know that I am not lying at all.
MAERIN’S CHOICE

Girls' Generation - Echo
I was originally going to be biased and pick Party but as I went through the other collabs, I literally couldn’t have Echo out from echoing in my mind (pun intended). The casts are perfect, and the blend of voices in the chorus and the harmonies are eargasmic. It will bring weird smiles on your face because the voices are just so cute and you’ll end up humming to it nonstop. It’s that addicting. You guys should listen to it, and put it in repeat. You’re welcome.

Super Junior - It's You
As the first major collab in LME (and the first ever released Super Junior collab in AFF collabing community), It's You set milestones and cemented the fact that no matter what you say, at the end of the day when there was dedication and hardwork and all our voices are put together in the same track, we will sound so damn good. This song holds a dear place in my heart for being my personal all time favourite Super Junior song, and I hope it'll also be yours after you listen to this special rendition by LME.

To all old LME stars who have been there from the time it is created, hell yeah~ And to new stars who just join, welcome aboard~ First of all I can’t thank you enough for the interest and participation cuz it what keeps it running for these past 6/7 months! And LME is actually the first entertainment that I join and collab in AFF (or anywhere else actually) XDD Whenever a people sign up for my collab, I got so ecstatic and especially if the star that I envision to be in the collab! I’m like yesyesyes /do the happy dance/ but actually the fan the song I opened is enough to gain interest for people to audition already make me feel content! /throw hugs and kisses/ Ah should I list out why I like LME? Becuz of the fellow CEOs who are always so awesome and passionate, hands together for oori sweet and cheesy Melody and cute and awesome rebel maknae, Winni. I actually know Melody and Winni around 2 months (on AFF) and here we are making one of the top entertainment on AFF(MELSHAMELESSISRUBBINGONME XD) I enjoy all the time we argue whenever we choose song for monthly special collabs and yes arguing for the casts too.
Mel and I always argue due to some certain likings XD But hey I cherish every single time you hear my ramble about coughbadstarscough and your two patience in handling some coughbadstarscough. Keep up the good work! And how me and Winni trying to be the angel whenever Melody get evil, its really funny cuz its always Winni and me the mischevious kids.
