orre del Lago è una frazione del comune di Viareggio, in provincia di Lucca, famosa per la marina e la spiaggia della Lecciona, molto frequentata specialmente nel periodo estivo. Una delle poche spiagge italiane che ancora conserva il suo stato naturale, situata fra Torre del Lago e Viareggio. La Lecciona, con la Darsena di Viareggio è l’ultima spiaggia della Versilia libera senza stabilimenti, inserita nel Parco di Migliarino, San Rossore e Massaciuccoli. Il nome della località trae origine dalla presenza di una torre che nel XV-XVI secolo sorgeva sul vicino lago di Massaciuccoli (chiamata prima Torre Guinigi e poi Torre del Turco). Al nome originario di Torre del Lago si aggiunse il 21 dicembre 1938, quello di Puccini, rendendo onore al compositore che qui visse gli ultimi anni di vita, componendo molte delle celeberrime opere liriche. La residenza Villa Puccini, sorge sul belvedere del lago di Massaciuccoli e ospita la tomba del compositore. La villa è visitabile, meta di turisti ed appassionati di lirica provenienti da tutto il mondo.
Torre del Lago is a fraction of the town of Viareggio, in the province of Lucca, famous for its marina and the beach Lecciona, especially in the busy summer period. One of the few Italian beaches that still retains its natural state, located between Torre del Lago and Viareggio. The Lecciona, with the Darsena di Viareggio, Versilia is the last resort without bathing establishments, located in the Park of Migliarino, San Rossore and Massaciuccoli. The place name derives from the presence of a tower in the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries that stood on nearby Lake Massaciuccoli (it was called Torre Guinigi before, and then, Torre del Turco). To the original name of Torre del Lago was added on December 21th, 1938, that of Puccini, honoring the composer who lived there the last years of his life, composing many of the world-famous operas. The residence Villa Puccini is situated on the lookout of Lake Massaciuccoli and houses the tomb of the composer. The villa can be visited, popular with tourists and opera enthusiasts from around the world.

Villa Borbone: costruita a partire dal 1822 più volte ampliata e ritoccata. Residenza di Maria Luisa Borbone di Spagna, duchessa di Lucca dal 1817 al 1824. Posta all’interno di un vasto parco al tempo adibito alla caccia e alla coltura della vite, dalla villa si accede ad una fitta selva dove attualmente partono diversi percorsi naturalistici. Recentemente restaurato dal comune di Viareggio in collaborazione con l’Università di Pisa, il complesso della casa e della cappella ed il grande giardino, luogo di eventi e spettacoli. L’edificio ospita anche prestigiose mostre come quella di Puccini e Galileo Chini, sede di alcuni master postlaurea dell’Università di Pisa. Donato al comune nel 1985 per uso culturale.
Villa Borbone: built from 1822, it has been remodeled and enlarged several times. Residence of Marie Louise Borbone of Spain, Duchess of Lucca from 1817 to 1824. Placed inside a large park at the time used for hunting and the cultivation of the vine, from the villa you access to a dense forest where currently there are several nature trails. Recently restored by the town of Viareggio, in collaboration with the University of Pisa, the complex of the house and the chapel and the large garden, a place for events and shows. The building also hosts prestigious exhibitions such as those of Puccini and Galileo Chini, home to some masters graduate of the University of Pisa. Donated to the municipality in 1985 for cultural use.
