10:30am – 11am Welcome & Opening Remarks LSCU President/CEO Patrick La Pine welcomes attendees and provides an update on political, legislative, education, communications, and other work that the LSCU is doing on behalf of Alabama credit unions. 11am – Noon Spotlight on the 112th Congress John McKechnie, SVP, Total Spectrum, provides an update on the federal issues facing credit unions on the legislative and regulatory front in Washington. McKechnie, formerly the chief lobbyist for CUNA and a top official at the NCUA, is consulting with the LSCU to represent the interests of Alabama and Florida credit unions with our Congressional delegation in Washington. Noon – 1:15pm PAC Fundraising Awards Luncheon The LSCU will recognize those credit unions and chapters that have achieved outstanding results in fundraising for the League’s Political Action Committees. 1:15pm – 2pm 2012 LSCU State Issues Briefing Will McCarty, LSCU SVP, Governmental Affairs Jason Cochran, LSCU Director, Legislative Affairs League staff provides a review of the 2012 credit union legislative and regulatory issues agenda for Alabama and Washington, gives updates on the progress on the important issues, and discusses how credit unions can get involved to affect meaningful and positive change for our industry. 2pm – 2:45pm

Building Momentum: The Importance of Grassroots Involvement Richard Gose – CUNA Senior VP of Political Affairs Whether it’s electing credit union friends to office or showing strong support of credit union legislative initiatives, grassroots involvement by credit unions must be stronger than ever. Our grassroots strength has served us well in the past, but must evolve in how we exercise and strengthen that power. Richard Gose will present how credit unions can build our grassroots and political efforts to achieve victories in the legislative arena. 2:45pm – 3pm

3pm – 4pm State Legislative Outlook Join legislative leaders from the Alabama House and Senate to learn about the issues facing Alabama. Interact with them and hear how best to get the credit union message across in a very crowded legislative environment.

4pm – 4:45pm Redistricting & Fall Election The 2012 election is just around the corner, and many of our members of Congress are working within new district lines. Now, more than ever, is a time for credit unions to be involved in the election process to elect credit union supporters to office. 4:45pm – 5pm

5pm – 6:30pm Legislative Reception Sponsored By Enjoy an evening networking event with your peers from around the state and lawmakers at the Legislative Reception. This is a great opportunity to meet with your legislators in a more relaxed environment and strengthen existing relationships while developing new ones. These relationships are the cornerstone of credit union grassroots advocacy and vital to gaining political strength in Montgomery. Dinner on Your Own Thursday, April 5, 2012 7:30am – 8:30am

8:30am – 9:30am Regulator Roundtable NCUA Region III Director Herb Yolles and ACUA Administrator Larry Morgan will discuss regulatory hot topics, what they see coming down the road, and provide a great opportunity to interact directly with the highest levels of the regulatory arena. 10am
