CHAMBER BENEFITS The Mission of the Chamber is to be the preeminent business advocacy organization in the Greater Lansing region by collaborating for economic growth, creating new opportunities for our members and upholding pro-business ideals through the advancement of sound public policy. INFLUENCE.ACCESS For more than 110 years the Lansing Regional Chamber of Commerce has been dedicated to helping employers and businesses in the region grow by providing business education and networking, enhancing member visibility and advocating for a prosperous economic climate. Membership in the Lansing Regional Chamber supports the following programs: • Membership Services: Assist our members in growing their business by supporting member to member access, providing opportunities for business outreach and by strengthening and promoting commerce in the Greater Lansing region. • Business Education and Networking: The most established and advanced networking venues in the Greater Lansing region. • Government Relations and Business Advocacy: Enhancing the business environment in the Greater Lansing region by advocating for pro business legislation and policies. • Business Growth Initiatives: Providing leadership in regional economic growth through the Procurement Technical Assistance Center, Port Lansing, Foreign Trade Zone and International Market Development. • SCORE (Service Corps of Retired Executives): Dedicated to help small business owners with business development through mentoring, counseling, strategic business planning and workshops. 10

OUR VISION AND COMMITMENT TO MEMBERS The vision of the Lansing Regional Chamber is to be the most valuable business resource in the region for facilitating a positive economic climate. We are the largest regional business organization dedicated to saving members money and helping them generate new business. We achieve this through a variety of programs that create new customers, give members visibility and provide them with the support of 1,100 other members. With 80 percent of all chamber members employing less than 20 people, the Lansing Regional Chamber has long-standing tradition helping small businesses grow and prosper. As the primary small business support association in the tri-county region, the Chamber offers growth opportunities through programs geared specifically to supporting the business and professional development needs of small businesses. With nearly 15,000 businesses in Ingham, Eaton and Clinton counties, the chamber is the who’s who of community business leaders. Membership offers you unlimited connections and resources for your company. Current program offerings include: • Blue Cross Blue Shield/Blue Care Network of Michigan: The Chamber’s sponsored program and exclusive relationship with the Blues offers small businesses and individuals a wide variety of choices for health care coverage. • Accident Fund Insurance Company of America Workers Comp Group Dividend Program: Chamber members receive a 5 percent discount on premiums in addition to dividend opportunities. Since 2004, Accident Fund has paid participating Lansing Regional Chamber members dividends in excess of $1.2 million. • Auto-Owners Insurance: Special savings program on your commercial and personal insurance. Chamber members are eligible for discounts starting at 12 percent for business and 8 percent for personal insurance. • Champion: Chamber members receive preferred pricing on new and used vehicles, an additional $500 trade-in allowance and 10 percent off all parts and service work. • Comcast: Members will receive special member discount when signing up for Comcast Business Class Voice, Internet & Basic TV.
