Landscape Design Gain professional experience and drawing skills to design exquisite landscapes with ease through the Certificate of Merit in Landscape Design. Whether you are pursuing a certificate or just interested in beautifying your property, landscape design courses are available to everyone. Previous knowledge of plant material is strongly recommended and is required for some courses. To earn a Certificate, you must satisfactorily complete core courses, receiving a minimum grade of 70% in each course. Core course grades will be based on assignments, class projects, and participation. Elective courses will be graded on a pass/non-pass basis. To receive credit toward a Certificate, students must complete an assignment. Small class size ensures low student-teacher ratios. Please register early.

ertificate of Merit Recognition C Each year, we celebrate the accomplishment of completing the courses necessary to award Certificates of Merit in Ornamental Plants, Ornamental Horticulture, Floral Design, or Landscape Design during a special event scheduled for Tuesday, November 18, 2014. To check your eligibility, please use the Certificate of Merit Student Tracking Sheet: ce-registration.longwoodgardens.org or call 610.388.5454. If you are eligible to graduate, please send your completed tracking sheet to the Continuing Education Office or email to help-ce@longwoodgardens.org. Confirmed candidates will receive detailed information in the fall.
