Because of the restrictions we cannot print or distribute The Villagers as normal. Rather than suspending production, this month we are providing everyone with a free online copy of The Villagers. Current subscribers and advertisers will be credited for each month that a free edition is made available. We are hoping to be able to print and distribute again in the future - but we’ll continue to provide an online edition too, through a subscription service. This is an opportunity for everyone to read our community paper while keeping safe at home. Jill Johnston, Editor

Read The Villagers Here For Free! The Villagers has now gone online because the restrictions of Covid-19 mean that we cannot print or distribute a hard copy of the paper. We believe that The Villagers can help bolster the community spirit in our 4 villages during this pandemic by reflecting on how each village is adapting and supporting each other. We would ask our readership to subscribe and encourage any others with connections to the villages to subscribe by passing on this message. To access The Villagers online you can click on either of the links below or, if you receive a message that the link is not secure, by entering the link details into the address line of your browser or by typing the link into Google. You can find the address line at the top of your browser when you open Safari, Google Chrome, Firefox or Microsoft Edge. When you reach The Villagers page for the first time you will have to subscribe by clicking on ‘Subscribing’. This will take you to the ‘Subscription’ options. Click ‘Subscribe’. All subscriptions are free at the moment while Covid-19 affects our production but will be charged at some time in the future. This takes you to the ‘Register’ page where you enter your name, your email address, choose a username and a password. You cannot read the magazines without subscribing and registering. Once you have entered the above details and clicked ‘Subscribe’ you will be logged on and can access the magazines listed on the right. There is a ‘Help’ button at the top of the screen which will help you navigate and read. You can read them as a magazine, but you may wish to download the PDF version to read one page at a time. Please encourage others to subscribe by passing on this message.
