ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT “Promoting Sustainable Growth in our County” Key Commitments A Labour-led Carmarthenshire County Council will:  Seek Enterprise Zone Status within Carmarthenshire  Open up land for future development  Ensure good value for Council taxpayers  Campaign for: The Amman - Gwendraeth Link Road, The Ammanford Distributor Road, and The Llandeilo by-pass  Lobby to upgrade the West Wales rail network  Review the work of the Tourism Review Board  Support business and job creation through:  Promoting and supporting inward investment  Providing more support to local businesses  Promoting new technology for new jobs  Developing a Carmarthenshire “Brand”  Develop Technology in Education for Jobs  Campaign for improved Broadband  Promote Town Centre regeneration programmes  Refurbish Town Centre buildings  Review local bus services with a view to strengthening services  Support keeping Museums open in Carmarthenshire  Promote and seek to improve facilities in our Country Parks  Work closely with and help develop the rural community  Improve signage for motorists entering Carmarthenshire
