Kinematics with applications to particles and rigid bodies. Kinetics including dynamic equilibrium, angular motion and center of percussion. Concepts of work, energy and power. Introduction to the mechanics of materials including a study of stress, strain and tor路 sion. Practical evaluation of theoretical concepts in the testing laboratory. Lecture 2 hours.
