market with their steer calves in the fall and receive huge premiums for bred and replacement Angus cross females. One such customer (and friend) sold commercial bred heifers for $3300 a head last fall! We recently visited one customer’s (and friend) Purebred Red Angus herd in North Dakota and were blown away at the progress they have made in building their cow herd since they have added Six Mile genetics. Amazing progress in a short period of time and we are so proud to have been a part of that. Amazing cattle from an amazing family. We have been honored with Premier Breeder and Exhibitor awards at the U.S. National Show in Denver for the past two years in a row. At Denver 2013 we bred or showed the National Grand Champion Bull, the Reserve Grand Champion Bull and the Reserve Grand Champion Female, along with many other division champions and class winners. At the 2012 U.S. National Show we had the Reserve Grand Champion Bull and a good friend and customer of ours won the Grand Champion Female honors with her Six Mile female. Here at home we have been honored to receive Premier Breeder and Exhibitor Awards at the last two Canadian Western Agribtion shows and have also been honored with Reserve Grand Champion Bull and Reserve Grand Champion Female, along with many division champions. We are proud to have Daryl Leppa in charge of show and sale cattle as we feel his expertise in this area is second to none in the industry. Welcome to the 2013 Focused On Females sale. We are honored to be a part of this female sale and Thank Six Mile for the invitation once again. We have worked closely with the Six Mile crew and believe both of our programs have similar breeding goals. Our cattle are run in a no frills fashion where the cows are expected to work for us. Simply put, we are very busy and do not have the time to babysit or pamper our cattle, they have to work for us or they are gone. We are truly a family operation.
