How can it be Christmas 2017 already? It only seems like yesterday that we were packing up last years decorations and welcoming in the New Year! The years are flying by and sometimes I need to remind myself to stop, breathe and take it all in before the kids are all grown up and fly the nest. The Christmas period is a time for family, celebration and a touch of sparkle and the build up is always so magical from spotting the first Xmas lights to watching family films. However, the pressure of Xmas shopping can sometimes dampen the excitement, so our aim here at Little Flea is to make your life that little bit easier by giving you pages and pages of present ideas for the kids. From stocking fillers to traditional gifts and from empowering pressies to ethical gifts - we have it covered. Plus there’s some gorgeous ideas for mums, a fab interview with the founders of teething jewellery brand, Lara & Ollie plus a cute Princess and the Pea inspired shoot too. We talk to the founders of the gorgeous teething jewellery brand about their new collection, the busy Christmas period and how they will be celebrating this year.

Winning GOLD in Smallish Magazine's Gifting for Mother Category recently must have been a great feeling for you guys? We were chuffed to bits!! These are the first awards we have ever entered and there were a lot of entries this year apparently so we were thrilled to have been shortlisted let alone winning a gold. To be recognised by a top magazine and an amazing panel of judges makes all the hard work we put in worth it. It can be pretty full on juggling kids
We continue to be blown away by the response we receive from our customers not only through Instagram but also the emails we receive and even anecdotally from mamas we know and meet. It's also pretty cool just seeing people wearing our necklaces walking down the street! Our ambition is to help mamas feel a little bit more stylish every day and feel like they've made an effort, so it's great seeing our ambition as a reality through the pics people post on Instagram and other social channels. Your new collection is gorgeous, Beautiful colours that are very versatile to wear. How do you get your colour inspiration? We only design necklace colour ways that we genuinely like and would wear ourselves. That's always our starting point. But we look to the world of fashion for inspiration when it comes to

Christmas is an important time for us. We package our bangles beautifully as we believe they make a great gift. We've got a couple of fun things launching so that's keeping us busy. Plus we also need to ensure that our stockists around the world are stocked up too. But we're ruled by Royal Mail and so by the last post dates our job is done and we always shut shop until early January to ensure we have a proper break and enjoy time with our families. So important to take that time out to yourselves. Recharge and get some quality downtime. Do you embrace the craziness that Christmas brings and make lots of plans, with loads of family visits or do you prefer cosy afternoons of films, cheese-fuelled with laid back vibes range that has been a huge success. To be honest we both love being surprised although from about October we tend to start dropping some big hints and send our other halves in the direction of our Pinterest boards. Instagram is our shopping paradise and the source of pretty much everything we both own - from clothes to jewellery to make up! I [Lesley] am just in the final stages of renovating our house so much of my Christmas list are things for the house.
2018. Ridiculous where the last 12 months have gone, and what an incredible year you've had. More exciting plans in the new year for Lara and Ollie? This year has whizzed by and has been another great one for us. We've already got a few exciting things planned for 2018 but we can't tell you anything just yet....
