The William T. Jerome Library Deck Renovation Project gives alumni, faculty and staff, students, family and friends of the University an affordable and meaningful way to contribute to the University Libraries, the intellectual heart of the campus. You can attach your name to this important project, or the name of someone you would like to honor–a graduate, relative, professor, alumnus, student or friend. When you make a donation for a seat, bench, table or umbrella, a name plaque will be placed on the furniture displaying the name(s) you have indicated. Names of donors to the general project fund will be included on a plaque that will be displayed inside the library. This deck renovation project has a limited number of furniture pieces available, so don’t delay. Gift giving to the library is not limited to the deck renovation project. STAY As the “intellectual heart of the campus,” the William T. Jerome Library serves all disciplines at Bowling Green State University.
T h e ‘ t h i r d sp a c e ’ The William T. Jerome Library is more than a place to read and check out books. It has become a “third space”–not home, not work, but a place to meet and develop friendships, discuss issues and interact with others. Located on the second floor, the exterior deck of the William T. Jerome Library is underutilized and has the potential for exciting new uses.

We plan to refurbish the exterior deck space by adding outdoor furniture and creating an environment that reflects the way we live, work, learn and play. The renovated deck will offer BGSU students, faculty and staff a new gathering place to study or socialize. Users will enjoy an outdoor wireless environment for group projects or independent study. Our fund-raising goal is to enrich outdoor spaces where people can comfortably interact, meet and relax. With your help, our renovation project will enable the library to renew its facilities to meet the current needs of our users. By contributing to the William T.
