Why Be A Senior Model? Lissa Chandler’s Senior Models are awesome girls with big hopes and big dreams and big personalities, too. The entire program is centered on showcasing the happiness and wonder of being a High School Senior and how, at this totally awesome time in your life, you’re wrapping up everything you’ve ever known and heading out into the unknown. This transition is so exciting and nerve-‐ wracking and wonderful and, because of this, the Senior Model Program is a celebration. A celebration of you and your classmates and the entire idea that you’ll be moving on and up and doing so many amazing things with your future. This is such an amazing moment – such an amazing year! – and the photographs from Lissa Chandler’s Senior Model Program are meant to showcase this extraordinary time in your life that will pass by in a blink of an eye. Why wouldn’t you want to be a part of that?!
Here’s Three More Reasons Why YOU Should Be A Senior Model! One: The Senior Model Program is insanely fun. It’s a little crazy and a little funny and little whimsical and a little awesome and it’s full of laughter and bonding and so much talking and it also comes with the amazing feeling of trying new things and feeling beautiful in a photograph. But! Mostly! The Senior Model Program is a total blast. Two: The Senior Model Program is such a unique opportunity. While Senior Model Programs have definitely become more popular over the past few years, Lissa Chandler’s Senior Model Program is an active, fun program that you’ll be able to look back on in five or ten years and think “I did that!” with an enormous grin on your face. Also, who doesn’t like putting interesting programs on their college application? Three: You are going to have your senior photographs taken anyway – why not turn it into a year long opportunity instead of a one day experience?
Lissa’s Favorite Part of the Program My favorite part of my Senior Model Program is the people in it. Photography is such a vulnerable, personal thing. Nothing says “I trust you!” like letting a stranger put a camera to your face so that they can take (and share!) lots of photographs of you. I love photography – I am the most passionate photographer you will ever meet and absolutely believe that photography is the most beautiful form of art – but, more than that, I love that photography is about people and I love that I am able to meet so many wonderful, beautiful people through photography. It’s really the most amazing thing. I am twenty-‐eight years old and photographed my first senior when I was nineteen. I love photographing seniors – you guys are so excited and so happy and so thrilled with life – and, because of this, I love that I have been able to get to know so many wonderful girls through my Senior Model Program. Photographing senior portraits has always been a highlight of my life and, when I decided to launch a comprehensive Senior Model Program in 2014, I had no idea how influential the program would become in my life. My Senior Model Program is such a breath of fresh air. It is fun and fresh and full of confident, smart, sassy, and courageous girls. I love that and I love creating a team of girls whose personalities, interests, and laughter make up the heart of my senior work. I cannot wait to see who joins for the 2016 Senior Model Program! It is going to be amazing.
Small Group Sessions Small Group Sessions for 2016 Senior Models will be held between April 21st and April 23rd, 2015. The themes for these sessions have already been selected and sign ups will be available at the Senior Model Meeting in March. And Spoiler! The themes this year? I’ll just say that deciding which session to sign up for may be your biggest decision in the entire month of March. They are that good. Small Group Sessions are required – all 2016 Senior Models must participate in a Small Group Session – and they are wonderful. These sessions are a great start to the Senior Model Program and, since the sessions are smaller than large group sessions, every Senior Model is able to adjust to being in front of the camera without a huge crowd watching. The Small Group Sessions are also an opportunity to get to know Lissa before your Senior Session and, honestly, they are an awesome way to kick off the end of your Junior Year. You’ll love these! And Bonus! Senior Models can earn their first referral reward by working as Lissa’s assistant at a Small Group Session.
Large Group Sessions Lissa Chandler’s first Large Group session will be held on May 20th, 2015. Large Group Sessions are the heart of the Senior Model Program and the 2016 Senior Model Program will include five large group sessions between August 2015 and April 2016. Attendance is not mandatory for every large group session but every Senior Model is required to attend at least two large group sessions during their Senior Year. Two Senior Models will also have the opportunity to plan a large group session in both October and February. This is a wonderful activity for seniors who hope to go into any creative field – interior design or fashion or modeling or set design or floral design, among many other things – and has been an awesome success in the past. The Senior Models who plan these sessions will earn their first and third referral rewards as a “Thank You!” for planning. Your Senior Session Senior Model Senior Sessions Will Be Scheduled Between June 1st and September 30th, 2015
Senior Session Details Senior Sessions with Lissa Chandler are unique, awesome, and totally centered around you. To plan your Senior Session, you will fill out a questionnaire and your session will be planned completely and totally around your likes and interests and ideas. Your Senior Session is a celebration of you and, because of this, we will work together to make the best session possible. And even better? The Senior Model Participation Fee ($250) covers 45-‐50 hand edited, high resolution photographs (with a print release!) from your Senior Session. This is a $725 value and is such a steal!! Basically, Senior Sessions with Lissa Chandler are amazing. Also, they are so much fun – there is a ton of fun in this program (if you couldn’t tell already!).
Benefits of Being a Senior Model
The 2016 Senior Model Program is a wonderful opportunity to meet new people, gain more confidence, receive a ton of gorgeous photographs, and participate in a once in a lifetime opportunity. Lissa Chandler’s senior photography is creative, unique, and full of personality and, because of this, Lissa’s senior models are able to be the face of a wonderful photography movement that embraces the happiness, excitement, and wonder of being a high school senior. This is year Senior Year – you should celebrate it!
Referrals and Rewards! Senior Models are also eligible to receive rewards by referring their friends to Lissa Chandler. Referrals are counted when a referred friend’s senior session has been completed and paid in full. And Bonus! The first Senior Model who refers a friend will win two Malco movie tickets. Who doesn’t love a free movie?! Full Information of Referrals and Rewards can be found on Page 31.
Responsibilities of Senior Models Lissa Chandler’s Senior Models are required to attend a Senior Model meeting on Friday, March 27th, a small group session between April 21st and 23rd, and also attend at least two large group sessions throughout the year. The Senior Model Meeting and Group Sessions are so much fun! Aside from showing up and having a blast at group sessions, Senior Models are required to have their senior photographs taken by Lissa Chandler and are not allowed to have additional senior photographs taken by another photographer, whether local or destination. While Senior Models are allowed to model for other photographers for concept shoots, they are not allowed to model for anything resembling a senior photograph. If a Senior Model violates this or promotes another senior photography business in Northwest Arkansas, she will be dropped from the program and immediately charged $1,250.00, no matter the time of year. Additionally, Senior Models are required to use photographs by Lissa Chandler for their Instagram and Facebook accounts for the duration of their Senior Year.

Frequently Asked Questions I’ve Never Modeled. Can I Still Be a Senior Model? Of course! While some Senior Models will have prior modeling experience, most do not. The Senior Model Program is awesome for both aspiring models and High School Seniors who just want an awesome after-‐school activity What Do You Look for in a Senior Model? I love photographing seniors with lots of personality and a total zeal (and excitement!) for life. If an application comes in and an applicant sounds witty and awesome and smart and involved and the program still has spots open for her school, she’s totally in.
Frequently Asked Questions What does the Participation Fee cover? Why is there a Participation Fee? The Participation Fee is $250 and covers group sessions and all of the high-‐resolution, printable photographs from your Senior Session. The fee also covers the cost of senior shirts, props for group sessions, location rentals for group sessions, and other miscellaneous costs of the Senior Model Program. With the fee, we will be able to do way more with styling, locations, and props than we would be able to otherwise. And even better? If you refer two friends, your participation fee will be refunded. Meet Lissa! My name is Lissa Chandler (I’m the brunette on the left side of the first and second photos!) and, when I was in high school, I had my senior photographs taken in a brick studio right off the highway that had a fake creek and fake trees, too. It was totally lame but also really, really funny and I love looking back on those photographs. In high school, I played tennis and violin and piano and was a leader in my church group and worked at the cutest little library and spent my weekends hanging out with my best friends and my family and lots of casual friends, too. I graduated from Lee’s Summit North High School in 2005 and, one year later, photographed my very first high school senior. I photograph high school seniors for one reason
and one reason only: It is fun. I love every second that I am able to create photographs for my Senior Model Program. I can’t even say how much I cherish all of the wonderful relationships I’ve been able to build through Senior Photography and my Senior Model Program and, because of this, I am just absolutely thrilled for the 2016 run of the Senior Model Program. It’s going to be wonderful!
