about video games video games have been around since the 1970s. first commercial arcade video game, computer space by nutting associates, was introduced in 1971. in 1972 , Atari introduced pong to the arcade. an interesting fact is that atari was formed by nolan bushnell, the man who developed computer space. he left nutting associates to find atari. which then pong was produced the first truly successful commercial arcade video games. to this year it is still used .over 102.49 playstations and 84 million xbox have been sold.

Video game consoles are devices that allows you to play many different games produced by the company of the game and console. The first video console was the Magnavox Odyssey made in 1972 by Magnavox and the newest to date (2017) is the Xbox One X by microsoft in 2017. Though there are many consoles in between when these to were made but they didn’t make it, unlike Microsoft, Nintendo, and Sony. These giants finally beat sega in 2000 to be the top three best consoles around the world. Occurs now there tons of games for Xboxes, Playstations, and Wiis but back in 1972 for the Magnavox Odyssey there were 3 games Table tennis, Submarine, and analogic. We have spent so much time on making games and game consoles. THere are “console wars” (which are wars to prove what console is the best) the most common one is Xbox vs playstation(Ps). Though they don’t make it on the media but if you buy the wrong console for your child then you might not hear the end of it.
