What is Fashion What is Fashion? To most people fashion is the type of clothes or brand you have on, but that’s not what fashion really is. Fashion is a popular trend, especially in styles of dress and ornament or manners of behavior. To me fashion is about showing your creativity through making something your own design. My name is Carrie Mckoy. I am the new fashion designer in town. Through my magazine you are going to see pictures of designs that I have made. I hope you enjoy. 3

Different types of Fashion jobs Some jobs that are similar to being a fashion designer is being a personal stylist, a fashion writer, and garment technologists. These jobs both deal with making and designing garments.

Design # 115 Design # 115 is the design I made when i was about 10 years old. This was when I started watching that fshion show called Project Runway. When I watched that show, it gave me ideas and helped me design this jumpsuit. This jumpsuit represents all the woman in the world who aren’t afraid of being themselves. This design was one of my favorite because it describes me. It shows that I am not afraid of being me. It shows people that I am here to win it and that I won't give up.

Design # 159 Design # 159 describes someone who is fierce. It shows that they are ready to take on the world but also look good while you do it. This describes me. I am ready for anything some gives me because I have faith in myself that I can do it. This is my second favorite.

Design # 155 Design 155 is me all the way. It is gorgeous and powerful. It shows that whoever is wearing this is bad at what she does and looks good while doing it. Which is me. This is my third favorite design.

Design # 154 The last design for the day is design 154. Boom!!! It means exactly what it says. It means that whoever is wearing this is booming all day. That means they looking real good. Which is me. I hope you guys enjoyed my designs.

What these designs mean to me
These four designs showed me that I was capable to do anything I put my mind to. I believed that I could do anything no matter what problems I was going through.

About the Author
My name is Carrie Mckoy. And I am 13 years old and I am the new fashion designer in town. I started designing clothes at the age 6-7 years old. Every since that day designing clothes has be something that I like doing. To me being a fashion designer is expressing yourself through your creativity and it shows who you really are. My mom has always told me to follow my heart and do what makes me happy. My mom is my role model. She is very hard working, smart, very beautiful, and extraordinary. She always believes in me when I don’t believe in myself some of the times. I love her to death. If you want to be something when you grow up, always do the best you can be and never give up. Believe in yourself no matter what happens in the world. Today I bring the new fashion to town.
