The World Today By: Asiah Bohanan

The world is not how it used to be All of it isn't right, And nowadays we have to fight Protestors are all over TV Is that the future life for me? This is isn’t how it’s supposed to be Trump said, “let’s make America great again,” But chaos and mess isn’t where to begin Racism shouldn’t exist We’re all human, And that’s something you can’t dismiss Black & white is a just a label What makes having a darker skin tone unstable? We must stand together in harmony We must stand together in unity We must stand together to change the world!

Narrative~ Funny things in life By:Natasha Brice

Oh the funny things in life when you get married and have a wife. Or when a pirate flies a kite on his ship with sails of white. The dogs that meow Or the cats that bow to the old lady walking down the street. The monkeys chopping wheat With a big long knife.

Spilt apple juice On a fluffy moose. Or when bats poop And dump buds feast like it’s soup There are things everywhere Funny for the mayor. Funny for the wifes. Oh the funny things in our lives.

My Race: by Micheal Knox My Race is now over,I’ve closed my eyes. My body at rest, as my soul cracks the skies. My burdens are no more, Because my brother Jesus I will soon adore. I endured through my race until the end. My greatest race called “life”is quite simple to win, because I allowed God to direct the path that raced in. And till now I’m free in the heavens above where angels roam free and now I thank my lord for the race of my life.
