One of just two Greg Norman-Pete Dye-designed courses in the world, Talis Park has been ranked #91 in Golfweek’s 2014 Best Residential Courses and is consistently ranked among the top 20 courses in Florida. Pete Dye agrees with that assessment. After touring his creation, Dye acknowledged the meticulous care the course receives by remarking, “I haven’t seen a golf course like this anyplace in the world in as good of shape and condition as this one. Ever. I mean anyplace. Really. And I’ve see a few.”

The Talis Park course is challenging yet extremely playable thanks to the Paspalum turf, wide fairways, and a layout that typically provides left and right escape routes on second and third shots. The turf allows the ball to sit on top of the grass rather than down in it even in the rough. Average golfers can enjoy a round that is more about shot execution than coping with less desirable lies they cannot control. allows for uphill and downhill holes while providing images of a course set in the valleys of Tuscany, Italy. In the tradition of older designs like the Commonwealth Golf Club in Melbourne, Australia, high-backed bunkers guard the greens, allowing the long hitter to think twice about club selection. The front nine resembles open and rolling parkland with scattered trees and ends with a descending par 4 to a peninsula green. The back nine is representative of Italy’s rural farmland, providing a strong contrast to the earlier park-like holes.

Golfers love playing on Talis Park’s Paspalum turf. Most golfers cannot appreciate how remarkable the turf is until they play on it for the first time.

During the design of the Talis Park golf course, Pete Dye did all of the green and bunker work while Greg Norman focused on the routing of the course and the placement of the fairway bunkers. Dye typically designs very tough courses. Talis Park, however, works as a residential course, as well as a course for tournament play, such

as a pro-am and collegiate tournaments. The course is challenging, playable, fair, rewards good shots, penalizes bad shots, and offers five sets of tees that allow golfers to enjoy their game. Golfers love playing on the Paspalum turf. Most golfers cannot appreciate how remarkable the turf is until they play on it for the first time.
