The next meeting of South East Cheshire Ornithological Society will be on Friday December 11th. Jim Almond will be telling us about his “Big Year�. It sounds most intriguing and he is always an entertaining speaker. Jim is a regular at SECOS and no doubt many of the birds covered in his talk will be from his home county of Shropshire. An agricultural county such as this should have many yellow wagtails but the sad truth is that this species is just one of many which have declined in population in recent years. The meeting will be at 7.30 at Ettiley Heath Church Community Centre, Elton Road, Sandbach CW11 3NE. Non-members are welcome. More details available on secos.org.uk. Christmas Coffee morning at St Gabriels Church , Crewe Road, Alsager on Saturday 5th December. 10am till 1pm. Children's Choir 10.30 till 11am.
