We were fortunate to spend the best part of a year as citizens of Venice and had the privilege of experiencing firsthand the buildup to the Biennale, the event itself and its impact on the city and its inhabitants. We can think of no better way to begin our editorial journey than opening Linea de Costa – Contemporary Art & Culture Visual Magazine with this monograph dedicated to this year’s 54th Biennale di Venezia, a must for contemporary art lovers and professionals, as well as anyone interested in discovering how this type of event interacts with everyday life in a city and its surroundings. Durante un periodo de casi un año fuimos en el pasado transitoriamente venecianos y vivimos entonces de primera mano la preBiennale, la Biennale y la postBiennale y su impacto de aquella edición en la ciudad y sus habitantes. No se nos ocurre mejor manera de comenzar nuestra andadura editorial que inaugurar Linea de Costa Contemporary Art & Culture Visual Magazine con este monográfico dedicado a la presente 54 Biennale di Venezia, cita ineludible tanto para los apasionados y profesionales del arte contemporáneo en sí como para los interesados en conocer como este tipo de evento interactúa con la cotidianidad de una ciudad y su entorno.
