Our past sales were a great success thanks to the support and participation of so many of you, our guests. For those of you who haven’t been to the farm, you might find it interesting to know that the property has a long and rich agricultural history tracing back to the pre-colonial period and William Penn, from whom the Keystone State takes its name. It was Gerald and Helen Hood Swatsworth who sold the farm to us and introduced us to the Limousin breed. Helen’s family, who came from Ireland in 1856, bought the farm in 1885 and raised their children there. Interestingly, Gerry and Helen were Limousin breeders there for 22 years prior to our purchase. We’re excited to present to you this year what we believe to be some of the best animals in the breed. All females were produced from our own breeding program. The cattle were sired by the best AI sires in North America, in addition to our own extensive herd sire roster. Some of our elite donor females are cataloged, and we are excited about the LimFlex and Limousin heifer calves. We believe they will make great show prospects for the junior or
senior exhibitor, in addition to becoming reliable replacement females. We at Tubmill Creek Farms understand that not only are superior genetics important, the satisfaction of our customers in their purchase plays a key role in our success in this very competitive business. Our offering will be available to view at 2 P.M. on Friday, Oct. 18, followed by the pre-sale dinner at 6 o’clock in the evening.
