And then the lover, Sighing l ike furnace , with a woeful ballad Made to his mistress' eyebrow. Then a soldier, Full of strange oaths and bearded like the pard , Jealous in honor, sudden and quick in quarrel , Seek ing the bubble reputation Even in the cannon's mouth. And then the justice, In fair round belly with good capon lined , W ith eyes severe and beard of formal cut, Full of wise saws and modern instances, And so he plays his part. The sixth age sh ifts Into the lean and sl ippered Pantaloon W ith spectacles on nose and pouch on side, His youthful hose, well saved , a world too wide For his shrunk shank , and h is big man ly voice , Turning again toward childish treble , p ipes And whistles in his sound. Each class has certain representatives judged worthy of special recognition by the Calciid staff. This is the Hall of Fame. Two students each from Sophomore, J unior, and Senior classes are selected on the basis of character, leadership, service to college, participation, versatility and futu re potential. You will recognize these students as those who are always ready and willing to serve where needed.
Harry Folsom has represented his class two years on the Social Board . He was a member of the 1974 Tenn Team and is presently holding the position of Art Editor for the Lantern Cheryl Abood has been extremely active in the Theatre Department at Limestone. She was a 1974 May Cour Attendant and a member of the Orientation Committee. Cheryl is presentl y serving on Dorm Court and thE Calciid staff. Bill Wylie has been a member of the Tennis Team for two years. He served o n t he Orientation Committee, and 1974 Calciid staff. Bill is presently involved with the Food and Movie Com m ittees. Margie Kelly has been a class cheerleader and member of the Orientat ion Co mm ittees and is presently serving on Upper Court. She is also a member of Kalosophia, and the ed itor of th e 1975 Calciid. Sandy Bonner has been an active member of the Business Club and Orientat io n Committee. As Vice President of the Student Government Association, he now presides over the Senate a nd serves on Combined Counc il. Phyllis Taylor has been active in organizing a Psychology Club on campus . She has been elected to Who's Who in American Colleges and Universities and is President of Kalosoph ia.

Student Government Association
The Student Government Association of Limesto ne College was organized in 1898 to give every student an opportunity for self-government and personal responsibility in community life. The Association has been one of the ch ief factors in developing strong character, a high sense of honor and loyalty, a love of justice, and individual and social responsibility among the stu dents. Since every student upon registration at Limesto ne automatically becomes a member of the Student Government Association , he is expected to share in its obligations and responsibilities as well as its privileges, and to observe and uphold its ideals and policies. 166

It is 4:27 a.m. My assistant editor has fallen asleep on the floor, surrounded by sheaths of layouts, copy fitting sheets, copy envelopes and ad layout forms-all of assorted colors and sizes. The last deadline is due i n exactly eighty four and one-half hours. Forty-four pages remain blank~ig hty-four hours and twenty-six minutes. Twenty-five ... What happened to all those m onths? When I was asked to be the editor of the 1975 Calciid, I accepted even thoug h I had no previous experience with school publications. I was fully unaware of the problems of putting together a yearbook. Student apathy at Limestone seemed to hit an all t ime high two years ago as the absence of an annual that year indicates. Last year, the Calciid staff made a commendable effort and provided a solid foundation on which to expand. In light of this, I viewed my position as editor in two ways. First, I realized the responsibility to produce a pictorial history of 1974-75 at Limestone College. Secondly, I feltthe need to continue last year's efforts to reestabl ish the Calciid as a vital part of the college. Thanks to a reliable staff, I feel that we have accomplished at least part of these objectives. However, the full value of our work will not be known until next year, when the next staff begins work. If we have indeed succeeded in reviving the role of this publication, their job will be easier. However, if we have failed to arouse the needed interest in the Calciid, all our efforts will have been in vain. I am hopeful that we have realized our dreams and the 1975-76 Calciid staff will strive even harder to produce a quality book. In keeping with another tradition, I wish to than k all the people who made the book poss ible ... to my roommate Nancy, who worked end lessly on layouts and cropping p ictures, who taught me the rudiments of those fi ne arts, who put up with my complaints and fits of temper and cluttered roo m, I offer my since re thanks. my photography editor Danny and his staff, Cheryl and David, who not only took the pictures, developed the film and made the prints for the entire b ook, but who also struggled to get the darkroom in working condition , again my sincere thanks. Beth my assistant editor who spent countless hours typing , who listen ed to my endless complaining, and still remained my friend, I am truly thankful. T o Nell Smith and Diana Ryan who along with the advertising staff raised the mon ey to finance this book in part, I am truly grateful. He is the man who got me started in the right direct ion and saw to it that I never strayed too far or for too long-who never pressured me, but who was always avai lable and w il ling to assist.
