INTERVIEW WITH

MISS BRET TOWNSEND

Please introduce yourself and your business to readers: My name is Bret( just one "t"), and I show people how to do stuff better. I am Chief Strategist of SavvyPro Freelance llc, a Strategy Consulting firm that specializes in process and systems implementation, digital branding for Solopreneurs, Public Figures and Agencies, and Professional Development Training. I also write The Teal Perspective, a practical Business & Lifestyle Blog for us regular people. And my favorite title, Public Speaker, sharing life-altering tips based on the Power of Perspective. What does Women's History Month mean to you? Women’s History Month means sisterhood, self-assured badassness, and encouragement. It amplifies audiences to share historical women who have shaped our history and given us the tools and values that we use to make history in the present. This is a time where more than usual, we have an opportunity to share our journeys and support the strength in one another. We often don't see our own strength. It takes the eyes of our sisters to look in on us and say, "Sis… Sis! I see you and you've got this!" Women's History Month reminds us of that. Any success tips you'd like to share? Having a Success Mindset is imperative to our success. That means: 1. Taking a real- time assessment of WHERE we are in our journeys. 2. Setting goals according to WHAT we find in step one. We must then break those goals down into actionable steps. 3. Executing those goals. This is the part people don't follow through on. The key to planning is its EXECUTION. 4. Don't look for validation from others. Everyone is not designed to be included in our journey. Be OK with having to let others stay where their ceilings keep them. Continue your ascent, break those self-imposed barriers. 5. Don't forget to celebrate your wins. We spend so much time chasing the next goal that we don't take a minute to acknowledge the ones we crush along the way What is next for you in 2021? Oh my, plenty! First and foremost, the return of my blog, The Teal Perspective, helping you to be a better whatever it is you want to be. I have also been digitally scaling my consulting business, which I am SO excited to finally do! And more visibly, you will see me speaking and teaching more publicly on the Power of Perspective and how to leverage it to improve your quality of life and career. INTERVIEW WITH

JAMESIA MONROE

Please introduce yourself and your business to readers:

My name is Jamesia Monroe. I am a Transformational Speaker, Thought Leader, a Holistic Health Coach, and a Kemetic Yoga Instructor (Ancient Egyptian Yoga Instructor). My goal is to empower women and people from the African Diaspora through holistic health (mind, body, and spirit). There is a major health disparity in the black community, specifically with black women and I've made a commitment to myself to be a part of the solution in order to see lowered death rates and diseases in my community. My learning and teachings come from the oldest civilization known to man which is Kemet (Ancient Egypt). I infuse an ancient holistic health science that comes from our ancestors into my coaching program called the chakra system. Chakras are energy centers A.K.A wheels of energy that is considered to be our life force that starts from the spine of our tailbone and goes all the way up to the crown of our head. It is understood that we are spiritual beings having a human experience despite anyone's belief or religion. Our ancestors knew that in order for a person to truly be healthy, they must be healthy mentally, physically, and spiritually. The chakra system is widely known to be used by yogis all over the world and from different cultures. Contrary to popular belief, the origins of yoga come from Kemet and are known to predate Indian yoga. Yoga is one healing modality one can use to balance their chakras (energy centers) as there are several holistic ways to achieve this goal. The chakras are connected to all aspects of our lives and on a physical level, the chakras are connected to our endocrine system. When the chakras are out of balance, then that means something in our lives is out of balance. I teach people how to identify energetic imbalances in their lives and how to balance and heal these imbalances.

What does Women's History Month mean to you? Women's History Month to me means uplifting, empowering, and encouraging women to heal all around the world. Women make the world go around and keep it functioning. I believe it's important for women to recognize their power and their healing abilities in everything we do. We, as women, are the healers of this planet and have been since the beginning of time. Women heal with their words, their creativity, knowledge, laughter, smile, courage, strength, love, and overall Divine Feminine Energy we give to the world just by existing. Any success tips you'd like to share? Some success tips I would like to share are regardless if you are a woman in entrepreneurship, a mother, or a working-class woman in any field, self-love will always be the key to your success. When you pour into yourself, your health, and your wellbeing, you then can show up as your best self in everything you commit to. A lot of the time, women are running on empty and are being left depleted, exhausted, and stressed. Stress can lead to disease and disturbances in the body and can negatively impact other areas of our lives. Your mental, physical, and spiritual health should become a daily practice and routine if it's not already. When our spiritual health with ourselves and our creator is well, our mental health is well, and when our mental health is well, our physical health is well; You can't have one without the others as this is what makes a person whole and complete. What is next for you in 2021? What's next for me in 2021 is more speaking engagements, and currently, I am offering an 8-Week Chakra Healing program that teaches my students how to recognize energy blockages in their lives and what to do in order to heal that certain aspect of their life in order to create harmony within themselves and their lives. There are also a few collaborations and new products in the works at the moment, which I'm super excited about and is projected to be released within the upcoming months. How can readers connect with you online? If you have questions about my coaching program or would like to collaborate with me, you can reach out to me via email: info@jamesiamonroe.com. You can also reach out to me via Instagram: Kemunity_Yoga and/or via Facebook Kemunity Yoga.
