LOCUS FOCUS: 3 PHOTOGRAPHERS

May 14-18 //12-5pm Reception May 15 // 5:30-8pm The word “locus” is Latin for a place where something happens or is found. In his color photographs of New York City, Robert Lobe finds beauty, meaning and mystery in street level details to which people typically pay little attention. In his series, “Surfaces”, Logan Lockett captures grimy but colorful public surfaces to emphasize how these soiled, quotidian subjects can be simultaneously “unwashed” and “vibrantly beautiful”. Adele Shtern opens to the revelation of seeing the familiar in new ways. Painterly and abstract aspects of the environment catch her eye in diverse loci. robertlobephoto.com, loganlockett.com, adeleshtern. weebly.com InSite Design Studio 21-54 45 Ave 718.472.1400 insitedesignstudio.com
