Dutchess Fair all last week and I wish a had a dollar for everytime someone said "you can't grow apples naturally organically, it's impossible." I have heard this for years now and I ask "what did our grandmothers and grandfathers do?" When we see old masters paintings of an apple - it is beautiful and bleemish free. Why? Because it was a rairity thats why! And in the 20th century Madison Ave and pestcide manufacturers brainwashed us into thinking artificial looking and tasting things are good for us - well they are not! Our trees are ok. They have been stressed by frost and then a very loooong drought. It is not a bumper crop by far but they are going to be terrific tasting for sure! Sure our healthy apples are smaller this year but always better than a conventional apple that is way to big and has no taste and is not good for you! So ...thank you for supporting our little farm even when we take a hit.... one for all and all for one!

Liberty View Farm once again cross-pollinates with Hurd Family Farm of Modena. Billiam van Roestenberg founded the event on his farm several years ago and this year Unison presents the Annual ARTICULTURE event on the Hurd farm. Uncle Rock and The Shoe String Band will play rock'n'roll, bluegrass and square dance music. A juried crafts show with the finest artisans in the valley, farmers market plus all the fun farm-themed rides round out the perfect combination of Art and Agriculture. Art Scupture also featured in the Amazing Corn maze!
