Places To Travel: Exotic Holiday Destinations There is not one answer to the question of where are the very best places traveling on vacation. The first question to ask is not what spot to go but rather what type of traveler have you been? What Type of Traveler Are You? * Are you currently a Phileas Fogg? Have you been a global traveler who measures success by the amount of countries visited? * Have Travel Channel you been a Robinson Curuso? Do you enjoy the from the way and off the beaten path? * Have you been a Geoffery Chaucer? Could be the trip more about the folks you travel with than the destination? * Are you currently a Henry David Thoreau? Is your ideal vacation just a quiet place near home? There are numerous different traveling styles or different goals for travel. * You can happen to be get off it all. * You can go understand a new culture. * You can happen to be the party. * You can happen to be reconnect with family and friends. * You are able to travel for adventure. What is Your Travel Style / Budget? Many people would rather stay in the home than stay in anyplace that did not need 5 stars. Others couldn't imagine residing in anyplace more fancy than a youth hostel. Some who would love to remain at the fancy resort can't afford to. When you travel you need to determine your travel budget and style. What sort of style you prefer will help determine where you can afford to visit and for how long. My partner and I planned a visit to Hawaii before our first child was born. After considering our budget we'd to choose that a road visit to San Diego would be a better option. One if by Land, Two if By Sea... Three if By Air? Do you like road trips? If so how about a domestic itinerary. If you prefer the outdoors or history you could visit national parks. If you prefer sports consider a tour of major or minor league ballparks. If you prefer big city lights would a trip to New York, Chicago or Las Vegas be within your range? Do you like cruises? Consider only packing and unpacking once and letting your hotel (ship) travel from port to port. From the East coast of the United States, Bermuda and the Caribbean are both easily accessible. From the west coast, Mexico or Alaska offer different vacations.

If you love to fly and can afford it then Europe, Africa, Asia, and South America beckon. Europe offers familiarity for American visitors but with lots of history. Europe offers destinations from the familiar London and Paris to less familiar destinations like Croatia, Slovenia and Estonia. You need to be willing to deal with another language or driving on the other side of the road. Africa offers unforgettable wildlife experiences or the wonders of ancient Egypt. Additionally it offers ancient churches dug into the rocks of Ethiopia or remote destinations like Timbuktu. It will demand many travels to have further outside their comfort zone. Asia offers ancient cultures and new economic powerhouses. Your trip may be to overwhelming places like New Delhi that will challenge even veteran travelers or safer more familiar destinations like Singapore. South America offers better exchange rates than Europe but less political stability. It includes European style cities like Buenos Aires or ancient Incan cities like Machu Picchu. A very important factor I have discovered from hosting the Amateur Traveler for over four years is that there are many more places traveling than I had originally considered. It'd never occurred to me to: * Visit Tonga and swim with whales. * Begin to see the stone churches in Ethiopia. * Do a night tour of Petra in Jordan. * See the wild horses in Mongolia. The more I learn about travel the more places I do want to go. What is the better place to visit to? For me personally, it is obviously the following place. Chris Christensen may be the host of the most popular Amateur Traveler travel podcast. Places have Geographical features which are exclusive and unique. Places have existed for 1000s of years and have accumulated a wealthy history and associated culture, art, architecture and folklore. It's difficult to experience these through books or the internet. The places need to be traveled to have the authentic experience. Sooner or later in life, after college, after retirement, during business trips, during holidays, a long trip outside your country of residence can make you see the planet for yourself. By having an increasingly global economy, the international travel experience is an asset which can be an important advantage in a competitive situation. You can find known and important places which are frequently visited e.g. London, New York and major capitals of Europe and North America. These places have grown to be an amalgamation of different cultures and visitors also become a area of the same. However, near the same places and in exactly the same countries, are less known places which may have a distinct and unique culture and these exotic places are in general more fun mainly because what you see there's something new and about which very little has been written. The writer writes about such places centered on his personal experiences during visits to these places.
