Luxury Preview Business (almost) as usual in Vanuatu
Vomo’s villas wow guests We’re serious fans of Vomo Resort, one of Fiji’s top boutique destinations on its own private island. The Resort’s Hillside and Beachfront Villas have just undergone an extensive refurbishment to raise the bar even higher. Villas have been completely gutted and transformed with new bathrooms that feature freestanding bathtubs and ultra-spacious showers. Bedrooms now also have Dynasty Heavenly Beds and sustainable teak furnishings made exclusively for the resort. Most of the fittings were handmade by a variety of local and international artisans.
After the devastation wrought by Cyclone Pam, we’re pleased to report that all but one of the properties reviewed in our last issue are up and running again. Eratap Beach Resort, The Terraces, Ratua Private Island, Warwick Le Lagon Resort & Spa, and Villa 25 have all re-opened in time for the high season influx. The exception is The Havannah, which is due to re-open 27 July 2015.
The signature Rocks Bar also has a new look, featuring a teak deck, bar and luxurious daybeds to enjoy the Fijian sunset with cocktail in hand. In May 2015, the Rocks Bar launched dinner service with an outdoor show kitchen offering an eclectic array of grilled specialties. This complements a new half million-dollar kitchen in the Reef Restaurant.
