Our last LGC France’s project took place in Brittany, precisely in Penmarch, small town close to the surf spot : La Torche. A rich and unique experience were done from the 3rd to the 10th of August 2013. We were 14 girls, beginners and intermediates riders who had for goals sharing, discovering and progressing in longskate and surf. Alice, Tahina and Julien were the first to arrive, prepare and discover the house : « le Penty ». A charming Breton’s house placed in the center of the town. Easy to welcome 15 girls. The nexts, were Busty, Suzie, Pauline C, Aurélie, Pauline D, Marion F, Lucy, Andy and Isa. Marie Soraya joined the crew next Monday evening, Marion L Thursday and Johanna Friday. The week’s program : Surf in the morning and Longskate sessions in the afternoon or vice versa. A meeting with a local shaper « S.A.W surfboards », parties at night and nice meets The week began slowly with a relaxing week-end : swimming, walking, and BBQ’s.

Monday, surf at 9AM with the Pors-Carn’s surf school « 29 Hood ». Thomas Joncour and Alan took us early during a rainy day to learn how to surf : wind, how read the waves, vocabular and positions. The waves were very small but it was perfect to learn the Take-Off. A very nice session ending with crêpes. Longskate and dancing for the afternoon. Perfect to initiate people and begin the week. We went to Saint-Guénolé and we met local boys ans girls riders.

Tuesday, Pique-nique prepared for a Cruising/’’Downhill’’ longskate session in the countryside between Plonéour-Lanvern and Tréméoc. A very good spot to feel the speed and have fun in a forest road. A good way to begin the week for Mari Soraya who joined us earlier. A really nice session with some riders met in Saint Guénolé and Brest. A very good atmosphere during this session. Marion F and Pauline D had fun in sliding. Boys, Alice and Chloé took some high speed ! This day was over with the daily surf session.

The Penty Week

- 3rd to 10th August 2013 -

Wednesday, the day began with a surf session in the morning. Lunch taken in the Penty House and the afternoon was a special slalom longskate session with the French 2012 Slalom Champion. We arrived on the spot and discovered this beautifull red VWn Combi Bus. In memory of our Spanish friends from the Longboard Girls Crew. We tried Vincent’s slalom board, very shorter and faster than ours. It was easier for us to practice with it. One of the girls, Pauline D will be probably the future Slalom Champ! She understood every moves. Vincent spent the evening with us and discovered a surprising but awesome atmosphere (Some very loud Saxophones music...)
