How to use this book This Letterland Word Book allows children to start their own word collections and acquire basic dictionary skills. The alphabet is located on the edge of each page for ease of finding and placing words. The 100 most frequently used words in the English language are already listed, so children can check on their spellings. The Letterland characters and the stories of characters’ interactions provide useful reminders of how to pronounce and spell words. Children can add to this dictionary whenever they come across a new word they want to remember how to spell.
