Un-Claimed În “Un-Claimed”, camera de filmat acţionează ca un spectator mut în timpul procesiunii de înmormântare a unor corpuri neidentificate în oraşul Bangalore. Filmul reprezintă o documentare directă, cuprinzând o parte din calvarul decedatului anonim până la momentul îngropării sale. El prezintă procesul transformării suferite de două corpuri în drumul de la spital până la cimitir. Obiceiul este ca aceste corpuri nerevendicate să fie doar îngropate, fără a se folosi alte metode de înlăturare. Călătoria vehiculului care transportă pe stradă trupul celui decedat devine la rândul ei o procesiune anonimă, încadrată de alte maşini cu oameni ale căror vise încă mai pot prinde viaţă. Cei decedaţi sunt ascunşi în traficul haotic, ca o formă de a echivala anonimatul mulţimii cu identitatea celor decedaţi. Surekha / Editor H. A. Anilkumar
Un-Claimed “Un-Claimed” is a video wherein the camera acts as a mute spectator to the procedure of the burial of anonymous bodies in the city of Bangalore. The video is a straight forward documentation, framing a specific portion of the ordeal of the anonymous dead till their burial. It depicts the process of transformation of a pair of dead bodies from the hospital to the burial ground. It is regulatory to only bury the unclaimed as against other modes of disposing of the bodies. The journey of the vehicle carrying the dead on the street becomes an anonymous procession, alongside various vehicles with people carrying lively dreams.
