Perhaps the best-loved operatic fairy tale of them all, Hansel and Gretel is also one of the darkest. From a poor family to whom hunger is an ever-present threat, the siblings escape to the world of the forest, both idyllic and dangerous. There, they encounter supernatural forces such as the Sandman, the Dew Fairy and, most frightening of all, the Witch. Featuring some of Humperdinck’s most enchanting music, Hansel and Gretel is the perfect treat.

A much-loved story, but not quite as you know it. Cinderella scrubs the floor of the dance school and dreams of a better life. When a prince arrives seeking a companion this fizzing romcom is set in motion. This production of a classic fairy tale features some of Rossini’s most dazzling music and plenty of sparkle! Sung in Italian with English titles Running time approx. 2h 30 7+ Supported by a generous gift from The Liz and Terry Bramall Foundation

‘Be the flame, not the moth.’ Throw caution to the wind. Be led into temptation. Unmask Casanova with Northern Ballet. Consumed by his desires, Casanova lived every minute in a whirlwind of scandal and excess. But there’s more to the man. This original ballet will expose a story so sensational you won’t believe it’s real. A spine-tingling spectacle of 18th century decadence it will flood your senses and take your breath away. With an original scenario adapted from Ian Kelly’s biography of Casanova and choreographed by Kenneth Tindall, Casanova will be set to Kerry Muzzey’s specially created score. Eunice struggles to fit in. When she joins a wealthy family as their housekeeper the very reason for her awkwardness, long hidden and deeply buried, leads inexorably to a terrible tale of murder in cold blood – on Valentine’s Day. Ruth Rendell’s brilliant plot unravels a lifetime of deceit, despair and cover-ups which, when revealed, brings a shocking revelation almost as grizzly as murder itself. The star cast includes award-winning TV and stage favourite Andrew Lancel, best known to TV audiences for his portrayal of villainous business man Frank Foster in Coronation Street and DI Neil Manson in The Bill. He is joined by Sophie Ward who played the beautiful, ill-fated love interest of Young Sherlock Holmes and Dr Helen Trent in long-running ITV drama Heartbeat; pop-idol Mark Wynter who since his hit parade days has featured in seven Agatha Christie Company productions; Deborah Grant, who has starred in Not Going Out and Bergerac; movie icon Shirley Anne Field who became an overnight star in the landmark films The Entertainer and Saturday Night and Sunday Morning; Antony Costa who shot to fame in chart-topping boy band Blue; and Agatha Christie Company stalwart Ben Nealon whose TV credits include ITV’s award-winning drama Soldier Soldier. Tue 16 – Sat 20 May 2017 Following its smash hit run at London’s Dominion Theatre, Bill Kenwright’s production of Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice’s Evita is set to thrill audiences once again across the UK. Telling the story of Eva Peron, wife of former Argentine dictator Juan Peron, Evita follows Eva’s journey from humble beginnings through to extraordinary wealth, power and iconic status which ultimately lead her to be heralded as the ‘spiritual leader of the nation’ by the Argentine people. Starring two of musical theatre’s most outstanding leading performers: the wickedly talented Emma Hatton, fresh from playing Elphaba in the West End production of Wicked and, embarking on his first UK tour having played the title role in Disney’s production of Tarzan, Gian Marco Schiaretti. With more than 20 major awards to its credit, including the Oscarwinning film version starring Madonna and Antonio Banderas, Evita features some of the most iconic songs in musical theatre, including Don’t Cry For Me Argentina, On This Night of a Thousand Stars, You Must Love Me, and Another Suitcase in Another Hall, this smash hit show truly promises to be the theatrical event of the year.

Dirty Dancing is back! Exploding with heart-pounding music, breathtaking emotion and sensationally sexy dancing. Seen by millions across the globe this worldwide smash hit tells the classic story of Baby and Johnny, two fiercely independent young spirits from different worlds, who come together in what will be the most challenging and triumphant summer of their lives. Featuring 35 hit songs, including Hungry Eyes, Hey Baby, Do You Love Me? and the heart stopping (I’ve Had) The Time Of My Life. It’s the summer of 1963, and 17 year old Frances ‘Baby’ Houseman is about to learn some major lessons in life as well as a thing or two about dancing. On holiday in New York’s Catskill Mountains she shows little interest in the resort activities and instead discovers her own entertainment when she stumbles across an all-night dance party at the staff quarters. Baby can’t wait to be part of the scene, especially when she catches sight of Johnny Castle the resort dance instructor. Her life is about to change forever as she is thrown in at the deep end as Johnny’s leading lady both on-stage and off. Don’t miss your chance to see this sensational new production.
